Regarding Wesley, I can't imagine what those kids, the alum and all supporters have gone through and are going through. Coach Giancola is a second father to me and if that would have happened during my playing days, Jesus, while I would want to honor his memory I'm not sure how I would have responded.

Kudos to that team for a successful year even if they might have fallen short a little bit, you won because you competed! In football we always talking about overcoming adversity, you guys overcame it, played for your coach and honored him very admirably, Coach Drass would have been proud!

I guess my next statement will determine if my assessment is correct but I'm of the belief that the level of competition is quite high in the East, you look at the NJAC or empire 8, there are 3 teams in either conf maybe even 4 who a few plays going the other direction, the landscape of the playoffs is quite different.

I could make the argument that Montclair could have gotten an at large, same way I could make the argument that Ithaca deserved it, I do believe there are a few teams who received a bid that play in a very weak conf and while there record might reflect it, the strength of schedule and level of competition is no where near where it needs to be.

Frostburg, congrats, best of luck next year at the Division 2 level and kick some ass in the playoffs, represent the NJAC!!

Wesley goes to Westminster for an ECAC game next week. Only an hour away from the house! Always good to get 1 more week of practice and another game notched before heading into the offseason.

it will be interesting to see how the team responds after such a disappointing year.  Do they show up and play Wesley football or go through the motions and lose another game.

My honest assessment?  Start another QB and see what happens.

GO CAPS!

Looks like a noontime start for the Wesley-Westminster game. Wondering what approach they will take... especially at QB. Burroughs with 19 interceptions this season has passed Justin Sottilare for the school record for INTs in a season. Sottilare threw 18 in 2010... the difference? Sottilare played 4 more games to get to his total.

I am unofficially placing CNU's Dylan Curran on the Team of the Week!!! hahaha!

He scored all 16 points vs Wesley. A 5 yard TD run, the PAT, and FGs of 32, 45 and 47. Plus he had 3 punts for an average of 45.3 yds.

Only if he had an Int, Sack force fumble, and defensive TD...jk. Awesome game by Dylan.
