Phil,

Well stated my friend.

The "Beast of the East" title that RU has used is a bit outdated, but yet remains firmly entrenched in the minds of those that RU plays outside of the NJAC.

It's funny how teams we beat outside of the NJAC still bring up the D1 transfer issues, the low academic admission standards, and the suspect recruiting for the football program; all of which are now far-distant memories of teams past. Moving forward, I like the way the RU program is headed (3-4 year players, top local talent, quality education and admission standards at an affordable cost, a vision for the future of the university and athletic programs, and last but not least, our great alumni football club, which makes going to games and supporting the program well worth the effort.)

Hope all is well with you and yours and enjoy your holidays.

I read this site daily but hardly post.   I just wanted to wish Rowan luck this upcoming weekend against DelVal.  I am sure DV is looking to "heal some deep wounds" from last year.  So, go take care of business as usual.  Continue to represent the NJAC well & with class.

GO ROWAN!!

The LL has a new policy of honesty in dishing out the karma... call it Karmonesty...

Phil and Doc get +1k from Gro for their honest opinions. Good posts both of you... Gro will have to support the brown and gold this week so the LL can at least say "Well we lost to the team that won the bracket".

Dr. xGSC

Gro,

Did you hit your head over the holiday weekend or see scary visions after too much alcohol intake? Positive Karma to those outside of the LL from GRO? WOW, I am impressed, and as such, have posted some + karmonesty for you as well.

Enjoy the family, the holidays and the playoffs.

Not only do the Profs find a way to win, but somebody actually found Rowan uni's that even a design major could love – tho' I doubt they'll be quite as photogenic as on the front page after a game played on a DVC field which resembles what Ramapo had circa 1989.

Now hopefully TCNJ will dump the throwback uni's now that 150 yr. celebrations are over ... oh, and an offensive line with a couple wideouts with blinding speed would be helpful too.

Too bad they won't be wearing brown jerseys that wouldn't show the mud ....

Warren, Dr.XGSC, Pat, et. al....

I'm worried about Phil....I believe he is in distress...he must've suffered some major shock to his system over the holiday weekend.  Either that, or he has been taken over by the ghost of Rodman....I implore you....keep an eye out on that bugger.  These next few days will be critical.

Hehe

We'll have to worry about Phil if, and only if, he starts wearing Mt. Union purple while solemnly intoning the Raider alma mater.

Appreciate it. attitudes seem to relax after your team is done for the year so the LL board is a less hostile place by far.

Warren,  you are always the steady voice of wisdom.  Of course, like me, that could be an "AGE" thing.

Pre-senility or just plain cussedness is often mistaken for the "wisdom" that allegedly comes with age ....  :'(

Congratulations to the banged-up Profs and what they have accomplished to date.  I hope that it continues right through the Stagg Bowl. 8)

Considering the season-ending injuries, it does cause one to wonder just how well this team could be doing if it were at full strength ....... with their All-American QB Mike Orihel, All-American Defensive End Brian Bond, starting RB U. Encarnacion and starting WR John Berry (blown knee in scrimmage).

It must be really hard for those guys sitting on the bench watching.  You have to really give it to the guys who are still healthy who have stepped it up to get to this point.  I guess that's what they mean when someone says - class program!

Go Profs!

A couple of things for going to the game: The visitors get the bleachers in the sun, whatever sun there will be, as the heat wave we have been enjoying is sadly ending. Last week, the lines to get tickets were still long pretty close to game time. I can imagine that they will be longer this week, so plan accordingly.

Loved the guy in the stands with the viking horns, and Yuengling Taphandle on the stick with they cymbal!
