Congrats to Rowan on you're win today!  Now get in there and win the next 2!!!  You're our East representative and we'll be pulling for you.

Until we meet again, a faithful DVC fan!  Go AGGIES!!!   ;D

I echo 4man's sentiments.  Before I have to be more objective as a D3football-er, I'll register my support for the Profs.

Represent the East region well!

RowanTexan,

Then you qualify as a player... talk all the stuff you want.  I was there from 88-90 as a Junior transfer.  Spent a lot of time at main street, study hall and the rat.

The thing is I see is plenty of non-players getting a pass for what they post on PP from other schools.  Who gets pounded/hated for success.... Rowan.

It gets old.

Rowanlb92,

I played for Point Pleasant Boro. They has a state final matchup today against Camden for the South Jersey group II title.  Anyone possibly know who won? If not I can check scores tomorrow.

AHHH the Rat, I remember the first time I was in there I thought it was the greatest thing ever!  Getting drunk on campus, playing pool, CHEAP pitchers, and only a knee crawl away ( I lived in Mimosa Hall when it was co-ed) I fell in the creek a few times between the two on my way home.

I could have went to Wilkes, Widener, Morravian, West Chester, or Trenton State but chose GSC because of the party rep.

Does anyone remember the great student riot of 1985? I was a senior in HS and it swayed my decision to attend GSC.  Remember the top 40 rating in Playboy anyone?

THOSE WERE THE DAYS!!!!!

As I recall Rowan reached no. 8 on the Playboy party school list.  The Rat has been mothballed as we know it.  Only tea-totaling acts and shows go on there now.

My fondest memories was MNF when the Rat was open and lunches during the day.  Getting hammered and at noon and going to some stupid Gen Ed class was cool.  Not that the Rat nightlife was bad, I just liked the alternative stuff a little more.

JT,
I had my share of the Rat,Study Hall, the idiot Stu at Main street and the tons of parties after the games.  Now I've finally learned how to take it easy. ;)
Going to the Rowan games are a great when I get a chance.  Just so much to do with all the little ones.

I'm actually thinking about going to the game next week.

I"m really impressed with this years Rowan team more than any in the past 5 years.  They keep getting it done despite the loss of many of thier key players.  They've already had a special season.  I just plan on staying tuned in.

Thx for the score update today...it was a tough day without info...

good luck next week.

ROWAN!

I once drove a VW from Virginia to LA on 3 cylinders.

You are amazing. Keep doing what you're doing.

Karma to you!! ;)

rowanlb92,

Having to "work"... take pictures, interview, write stories has put an end to my pre-game partying. Flying straight and not wanting to have to hit the head before halftime is how I've been since starting the website.

Back in the 90's I used to have a lot more pregame fun.  1998-99 were probably the craziest years.  Those player's parents knew how to party.

Parents that have come along after 1999 are way too tame.

FYI for those thinking about flying to the Mount game:

Right now... best fare leaving Friday and coming back Sunday.

$143 Philly to Pittsburgh on US Air

$172 LaGuardia to Canton on Airtran.

$242 from Newark to Cleveland on Continental.

$301 from Philly to Canton on Airtran.

$40-$100 for economy car rental.

I'm guessing that driving is still a little cheaper.

JT and Rowan fans...the Laguardia to Akron Canton is the best move...the airport can be navigated in minutes, hotels in the area are plentiful...(look for Belden Village area)  this should be in North Canton or Jackson Township phone listings...50 places to eat, one exit from Pro Football HOF, and 20 minutes from Mount...The airport hassles alone in Cleveland and Pittsburgh are worth spending an extra buck, let alone the driving distances...good luck
If you need anything, post on the OAC board..there are plenty of good folks to give some assistance to you...

One positive change from '99. This year's contest will be played on realitively new artifical turf as opposited to the frozen green dirt of 6 years ago.
Same as it ever was...same as it ever was...same as it ever was...

JT

I'm thinking that it might be better to just hop in the Civic (40 to a gallon), and jump on 80 like in 1999.  Parking at LGA or busing it to the airport would eat at least 3 hrs in and 2 hrs back out on return.  Mind you I live near NYC.  Add time spent at Canton airport.

With the ipod and satellite radio, time should fly.  Head out Thursday... stop near the Ohio border... shoot into Canton on Friday and catch the HOF again.

Just think last time Rowan and Mount met, the ipod and sat radio didn't exist.

Money saved is hotel and meals right there. I'll be a solo traveler on this trip, brother is out of town and Fiancee can't get the time off.
