Stalker,

You could very well be correct, but I'll take it. :)

RU,

Good motovational post. My vote went to MHB.

It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Greetings again all RY fans from the Lone Star State!  This displaced (From Point Pleasant to Glassboro to Fort Worth) RU graduate and fan is ready for the upcoming year and also believes this year we probably have our best shot to finally take the championship home.  Wait until the LL posters realize I'm back- I really pissed those guys off last year after they talked alot of smack in the playoffs and the wounded Profs put them back in their places.  Remember all the "but we are smarter" talk?  What a joke.  Go Profs!

As the start of the season moves closer my excitment grows rapidly, as does my confidence in MSU. They got debth, size speed a QB!!!!!!!! and wow I never thought that these words would come out of my mouth, A NEW FIELD!!!!!!  can't wait till the game scrimage to really see these boys fly around and make some plays. If they come together I think they will be a serious contender for the NJAC.

XREDDRAGON77

Is Montclair's new field a whole new facility located elsewhere on campus, or just a re- turfed Sprague Field (I thought that was the name if I recall)?
Taste It!

HawksNation,

Well said, I can't wait to head to New Rochelle for the opener.

Will there be a team scrimage this Saturday and what time ?

We need to stay focused and play hard for 60 minutes. We have to come out of halftime with a vengence, no supid penalities and play each game like it's our last. The first 3 game will be key. With Coach G. and the rest of the staff leading these kids, we very well may be a force in the NJAC this year. Its something to get excited about .

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It' a re-turfed Sam Mills Field.

Does anyone know if the Profs have a scrimmage this Saturday?

If so, who are they playing and at what time?  Home or Away?

Thanks! ;)

I don't know the specs on the red and white game but there definetly is one. Yeah Iona, watch out that still burns in my stomach, I wish we could have that game back as well as cortland and Widener. I really don't think that the better team prevailed on those days. But this year is brand new, the young guys aren't so young anymore, and there is a real competition going on as we speak at the qb position. I am sure I will here some woes about the Cortland comment but I must stand by it. My hat goes off to you for making the playoffs last year, its nice to see to two NJAC teams make the Ncaa's, but I  would have given anything to play that game again. The wheels just completly fell off the bus.

HawksNation,

We were out-classed in the second half of the Cortland game. We were out coached and had our jocks handed to us. That was a tough one to watch. Losing sucks but we have to avoid falling asleep for parts of games, like we did last year. Some times Coach G's play calls made me scratch my head. I guess that's why he is one of the more successful D3 coaches and I'm just a fan. All I can say is "are you ready for some football." The Red Hawks remind me of my Rams. I think we have a shot at a wild card and maybe the same for the Red Hawks.

Dave, I don't know if out classed is the right word. I played in that game, we got out played by Cortland is the second half. They did a pretty good job at exploiting our weaknesses plus we had a couple of injuries that week and some younger guys had to fill some voids. As far as the play calling was concerned I mean the starting qb told Coach G a week before camp started he wasn't coming back and so did the back up. So they had one week to prepare an offense that would be run by our best wr. So yes the play calling was definetly limited which is why I would have loved to play them game again.

JT

Hawks,

Good to have a former player willing to come out and talk football.  It is one of the things the NJAC board really lacks over other boards.  We don't get the former players talking about the conference and the games.

Hope you stick around.

rams1102

HawksNation,

Maybe I used the wrong word, and agree with out played. I'm just talking with my heart and my mouth(sometimes is not in the correct order). I played collegate soccer many moons ago. I respect your statment. I think if we play like a team with heart for 60 minutes, we have a chance at the Dance. We have to become the Red Hawk Family. Let's Get Er Done !!!!!! I plan to be there Sat to see if anything is going on at Sam Mills Field.

He's got two.  Jesse Eisenhart at TE a junior and a freshman coming in at QB.  Jesse was Brian Jenkins backup last year. I don't have my notes with me, so I don't have Jesse's brother's name at the moment.
