I played soccer in college with Abe Lajterman (70-74). His brother passed away in the Marshall plane crash I think 70 or 71. It was very sad. Would he be related to Moses and is our new Punter related? Any info would be appreciated. If you do not want to post, just send me an e-mail. Thanks !!!

Michael Lajterman is Moses' nephew.

Dave-

Hey I was wondering if you had a chance to get over to MSU and see there red and white game?

rams1102

HawksNation,

I got there about 12:30, hung around and learned a little about field hockey, and found out that football pratice would not start until 2:00. Had too many things to do at home so I left about 1:15. I will be at the Susquahana scrimage. Do you know what time it will start?

Two more weeks and it's rock and roll in New Rochelle !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Prof Fans,

I didn't have the chance to get to the boro this past Saturday for the scrimmage, and I was wondering how the team looked.  Especially the receivers, what transfers we have that are in camp, how Orihel and Encarnacion looked etc.

Any feedback would be great!

4mer:

Word out of the 'boro is that the Profs looked very good on Saturday.

Big, strong and very fast on both sides of the ball ..... with depth at just about every position.  Team attitude was reminiscent of the old "Beast of the East".  It appears that the old swagger is back.  If these guys start believing in themselves, look out!

Orihel looked bigger than last year, threw the ball effortlessly and showed no effects from his injury of last year.  Encarnacion looked good as well.  The Profs appear to be deep at running back and the receivers looked good also. ;)

Prof Fans, team looked good on saturday, good discipline, looked like a team in mid season form, first half of scrimage was drills, interesting and intense. with a few bench clearing moments, recievers looked quick,  little lighter than last year, without Silva and Wright it will be interesting, but for Mike O. there shouldn't be as much pressure to get the ball to the big recievers, which should open up the offense.

There scrimmaging Lackawana Jr College, not sure of game time but i will find out for you. The scrimage went well, looked good on both sides of the ball, alot of work still needs to be done but they have the making for some upsets this year def!!!

Hey, RU Fan, go a bit easy on the Xman. He obviously wasn't aware Buff St. was the other NY affiliate. He was asking, not stating. In his mind it could've been Brockport.
Anyhoo, Cortland a very, very veteran dotted outfit. Intrasquad scrimmage due Saturday, followed by home workout vs. '05 playoff conqueror Hobart the next Saturday

It sure would be nice if the Office of Sports Info at RU would put up the 2006 roster.  I would imagine that everyone has their room deposits in by now.

Would be nice to know who's here and who isn't. :)

There could be some flip flopping.  Almost 100 players were at Spring practice.  Some of those are going to be replaced by Freshmen and transfers.  Even during the season there are those that are told to stay in shape.  A few of those wind up on the roster during the season.  Nice problem to have.  Rowan won't have roster until the week of the CNU game.

JT,

Sounds like the Mount of the East. Like you said, nice problem to have. It sets the bar real high. I like it !!!

  RUFAN,
Haven't the least idea as to who actually was the new conference member.  With Cortland (180+ miles from northern Jersey) being in the NJAC, Buff state and Brockport were logical guesses as well.  New Div III members SUNY Morrisville and  SUNY Maritime were good guesses too.
Taste It!

HawksNation,

Just printed the  D3 Football 2006 Kickoff. We're picked #61. "Jump right in-Montclair might have found its new quarterback" I like it. They are also looking 8-2 and 5-2. I seem to recall the same prediction. We have a tall order to fill. Let's play every game like it is our last one, starting with the scrimage w/Lackawana. Don't forget to post the time. Are you ready for some D3 Football
