JT, great job on article and pics, I've got a little different angle on sat. game, after profs were up by 24, it looked like they sort of shut down, activity on the sideline looked like they were holding back, I got to thinking what if they ran it up, we'd probably be down to eight games next year, and I'm sure Robert Morris is  a year to year deal, a big win there would bring us down to league games only, we probably even offer to pay expenses for teams to travel to the boro to play but we're still having problems getting opponents. Acorsi is a gentleman a rare find in football any where, my stomach say's he called the dogs off, son was disappointed, injured his back should br ready next game I know I am.

Especially when he had the option of getting the ball CNU 10 after the punter kicked it out of the endzone and try for 7, he took the safety for 2.  I think Accorsi is comfortable up by a lot with this defense.

The contract for CNU ends next year in Newport News.  CNU already has a sweet heart deal... three year contracts with two home games against the Profs.  This is the second three year contact the two teams have done.

Made one facing the other way.  Might be useful.

Where's Rowan's superback Ulysses Encarnacion this year?  I didn't see him listed on Rowan's roster, and last year he ran rough shod over CNU.  Is the kid injured?

He decided to redshirt.  He was about 80% recovered from a leg injury suffered in the Union playoff game.

Dave,
Sorry I've been so slow to respond to you. Much has been happening in my neck of the woods. I have a new job running a creative department in a Northern NJ agency – which has meant zero time for witty retorts aimed at my Rowan "buddies". Besides, what's there to talk about here at "Rowan Central"? BTW, when are they breaking ground at Rowan's MLS facility. I thought all they needed was a soccer team and 145 million? JT?

I'm just having fun. It's been hard even keeping up on D3 football so far this year. I mean how in the world did I decide to pick Huntington over Ithaca? What was I thinking?

I'm definitely going to make an effort to make a Montclair game. I'll bring the beer if you promise they won't ticket us in the train station!

This will also likely be the last season I'll be able to see a few NJAC games as the family and I will be packing up to move to the Woodlands in Northwest Houston in a couple months. Lots of positives to say about the move – local college football is not among them. Fortunately there is a Nicklaus, Fazio, Palmer and Player course in the town we're moving to.

I'll be checking Montclair's schedule. Maybe we can pick a date....

I wish there were more NJAC fans conversing.  And Rowan never consults or informs alumni about anything, unless you have a check with at least five zeros in hand.  I think maybe I'll have to win the Mega in order for a stadium to be built.

From what I've been told, Rowan has picked up two MAC teams -- Wilkes and Widener -- on their schedule for next year.

With the departure of Susquehanna, Juniata and Moravian, the remaining MAC teams are looking for games.

While it's all still tentative, I've heard (not in any particular order)...

Del Val adds Wesley and Iona
Wilkes will play WPUNJ, Montclair and Rowan
Widener will play NC Wesleyan, Rowan and Wesley

That means Del Val, Wilkes, Widener, Rowan, Montclair and Wesley will all be playing each other in some non-conference capacity next year.  Should be fun.

Thanks Pat, but D3 football in the greater Houston area? Unless I'm mistaken it's non-existent. Please advise ... and no jokes about Rice football!

JT

Yeah congrats Phil.  Great Thai, Vietnamese food in Houston.  Fresh crayfish.... or mudbugs as they call 'em.  The 'stros, texans, and Univ of Houston.
