Backup qb Miles 34 yd. td toss to Morat on Corts first possession of 2nd half. Dragons 35-14 at West Conn

West Conn's Williams flips 15 yd. td pass to cut Cortland margin to 35-21. Corts quickly get inside WC 20, lose fumble. Through three: 35-21

Corts defense to the rescue. First play of 4th frame Montpetit int td return of 35 yds. for 42-21 lead ....

Final: Cortland 49, West Conn 21. Final td set up by Stef Sair's school record 13th career int. Guiliano scores. Damper is Alex Smith's early exit with injury. Ray Miles steps in, and up (10x15, 142 yds, 2 td, 1 int). Defense again daunting

Was at  the C State / West Conn game earlier.  Cortland looked like a steam roller in the first quarter going up 21-0.  Then Smith got dinged up and in went Miles.  During the Qb transition, West Conn punched 2 in but then Miles lit the joint up.  The D looks good as West Conn might have had 10 yards rushing.  That kid #3 from W Conn looked slic as he accounted for most of the aerial damage.  Time to get those Chicken Hawks!

Western Conn ran for 110 yards, 3.9 yards a pop. But the D still looked pretty good.

Just got back from the cortland game, cortland got a great win, with out playing great....that d looked outstanding for most of the game, and thier special teams is what won that game, a few huge kick returns that set up the short field....also, that qb looked great and played well under pressure.....great win boys....next stop montclair......
No matter where we go, it's about who we are.......C-STATE!!!!!!!!

also got back from the cortland game........thoughts.......very nice win on the road without starting QB in a game in which many thought could be an upset......nice lil stadium despite some small flaws....finally a big margin of victory for the dragons......any word on alex's injury Pat?

when i spoke with my good friend who is a coach at cortland, he told me that it was not as bad as it looked, and the dr's didnt think there was any tear or anything bad, so he should be back next week...lets hope he is back for the huge game

Meanwhile the NJAC likely became a two-team race today as Kean upended Montclair State 19-13.

Kean gets Rowan next week while Montclair needs (wow Tigers win the AL) to run the table.

fballking19

The scout advantage is pretty much non existent for Cortland, as both teams will have to exchange their prior three games and Buff St will fall under that for Rowan.

XREDDRAGON77

 Wow,
Montclair lost to Kean.  I still would not look past the wounded animal in next weeks game although I feel Cortland will be ready to roll.

Westconn  fan
I was at the Westconn Cortland game.  Cortland looked good.  The Rowan Cortland game should be a good one.  Got to hand it to the Westconn freshman QB and the majority of the freshman team.  Next few yrs should be interesting.

wondering why west conn couldnt get the ball to #3 more....

rowanlb92

Rowan fans,
Lets hope for some offensive improvement.  I don't know how much more I can take.  Wishfull thinking brings me to a 35-10 Rowan victory, with 450 yards of total offense for the profs.
