4merprof,

I hear you !!!

Montclair is very Jeckel & Hyde this year. I'll put our D against anyone. The probem is with the O. If you look at the stats the D is good for 10-14 points per game. When we average around 22 you don'thave to be a rocket scientist to figure, stop the run and you have a better then average shot to beat Montclair. McCoach is a real talented kid, but we have to get him 85+ yards a game. Use the screen or the draw to open him up. Jump has to run safely out of the pocket(he gets a lot of those chances). Can we beat Cortland, the answer is yes and everything has to be running together as a unit. Not just the D. A real tall order.

Rowan appears to be comming around. Great D, and the O is developing slowly but at least it is developing. Buff St. are not the sisters of the blind and you guys did well. Starting the season with new receivers and your star back red-shirted does not help. I think you will win by 14-20 points. I can't belive what I just said. I don't like you guys. I guess I'll go to confession this weekend. ;) Seriously good luck this weekend and I hope next weeks game has meaning for both of us.

4merprof,

If you still want in I will do the same for you as I did for Salker last week.

Perhaps two QB's will be making their first career Cortace start this year?
Thousands of fans join in the revelry, showing their Bomber pride and support for the football team. Some fans take the rowdiness a little too far, however, by starting fights, damaging property and tipping Port-a-Potties. -Ithacan, November 10th

4mer:

I think that you are giving Kean way too much credit.  They've only beaten 1 team with better than a .500 win margin.  Roque threw 4 picks last week and has to face the Prof D this week.

Kean is last in the NJAC in pass defense, just about last in total defense and  last in the NJAC in turnover margin. Playing the Profs in the 'boro with those stats doesn't bode well for Kean.

If the Profs keep a "balanced" O going and the defense keeps getting it done, could be a long day for Roque and Company. ;)

What's the (honest) word on the Cortland QB?

Rams,
That is a pretty big spread for the boys in the boro. I like them to win outright, but 21.5? They've covered 1 game this year.....Buffalo State. Pretty big task with a struggling O and special teams.
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

While Rowan did score 35 points last week, I didn't take away that their offense was that impressive. Buffalo State made numerous defensive mistakes, including a dropped interception on the third play of the game. Not to mention, two weeks earlier, the same defense gave up 50 points to Kean. I'm not saying the Rowan offense was bad, but I think Kean will fare better than Buffalo State defensively.

This has the potential to be a close game. Kean has to be sky-high after knocking off Montclair State at home. Now that AJ Roque finally has time to throw the football and he has good players around him, he's getting a chance to shine. He showed flashes of brilliance his first two years but the team around him wasn't great, especially the line in front of him. Now, with some protection, that offense is looking better.

But, I wouldn't be surprised here to see a Rowan monkey stomp. While Kean will be coming in excited after the Montclair win, Rowan is still Rowan. The Profs are playing at home and I think are due to blow someone out. That could very easily happen here. Though, it could be close too. A much worse Kean team during Roque's freshmen year only lost to Rowan by eight.

What's going on with Alex Smith?  Bad news.  How bad?

Dr.xGSC,

Since Phil let it out, I use Hansen for the spread. Last week he did it very late and I was guessing on my own. I honestly think you will win by 14-21, but not 21.5. Since I took Kean on the spread I guess Rowan will win by 28.

What's up with Smith from Cortland?

Smith apparently hurt his knee in the West Conn game.  It was thought not to be bad. I can't find any info except in the Montclair pre-game release, which seems to hint that the Cortland backup sophomore Ray Miles will start at MSU.  Miles appears to be a capable backup.

take it as very bad news in dragon land

John McGraw

Well, with the way Miles played against Western Connecticut last week, this situation isn't completely horrible for Cortland. This could just be precautionary. You don't want to rush him back too soon and then lose him for the rest of the season. I wouldn't be surprised to see Miles play the next two weeks depending on the severity of Smith's injury.

Now, if Alex is out for the rest of the season, that's a huge blow to Cortland. They still have all the other offensive weapons, but like Pat said in the Daily Dose - Cortland's a different team w/o Smith. Only time will tell.

4merprof

First,

I would like to wish Smith a healthy and speedy recovery.  Regardless of what team you play for, I hate to see a kid get hurt.  So once again, I wish you the best with that.

Rams,

Yes, please for last week!  Not that I have a chance of winning, but it does ghet me thinking..

RU Fan,

I hate to disagree with a fellow Prof supporter, but I think this game is going to be close.  Kean is good against the run, and bad verse the pass.  Our offense has proven to be shaky at best in the air.   I think the "D" will shut down AJ for the most part, but I still think we give up one or two big plays, possibly one on special teams.  I still pick RU to win, but by less than 7.  I hope your prognasticating skills are better than mine!

GO PROFS!!!!
