A certain person seems to be a little sensitive about his Lions these days so be careful what you say about Fat Ladies singing about an RU win over TCNJ.

He may come up with a picture of a Fat Lady in a Purple Dress with an "I love Linfield" button on singing that great northwestern ballad - "Lest Anyone Forget, We Beat RU". :D

RU Fan,

I'll tell you what, as a Glassboro alum, I F*@&ing hate TCNJ.  I wish that the Profs would keep their starters in, that way the final score would be indicative of my true feelings for the Lions.

GO PROFS!!!

By the way,... Anyone thinking that this is even going to be a contest this year is sorely mistaken.

4merProfs prediction:  RU 56 TCNJ 6

Come on, don't mince words............tell us how you really feel! ;)

You guys really need to lighten up a bit. I made a single post amidst your pedantic rants whilst fully admiting Football U. should win in a walk this year (as they should most years). Chill out, have some pink Zin and catch a Broadway play. The games which should concern you will happen in November – not Friday night.

!@#$ hate TCNJ? It's a friggin' college ... have two glasses of pink Zin and a toke from Dr. xGSC's cigar. At least he has things in perspective.

JT

Ouch.... The three biggest lopsided Prof wins are: 1948 33-0, 1972 34-0, and 1999 44-3.    The biggest lopsided Lion wins are: 1966 22-10, 1968 34-6,  1988 31-10.

I dunno if TCNJ is starting to slide I'd miss that rivalry nervous feeling I get.  I don't think I can get up for Willy P, if/when they get better the same way as TCNJ.

BTW My spies tell me that Ed Stinson, Def Coordinator of Willy P has said that they are going to build WPU football the same way that Rowan did.... through DI transfers.

Read into that what you will.

Throwing out a couple questions to y'all!

Why is the game this week on Fri. night?  Ain't that a Trento....  TCNJ thing?

Also, I see that Hardin Simmons is going to play Linfield during the reg. season!  Why hasn't RU tried to play them?  Costs(travel) or schedule full??

Be easy on Phil--  NJ deserves alot more respect than some are giving.  MSU and TCNJ are always ready for RU week.

ACMob,

Accorsi has a fondness for Friday night games, he's expressed as much in past interviews/conversations.

Finances prevent most of those cross country games from happening.  We almost had a home-and-home with one of the Texas teams this year,  but couldn't find the money to travel.  State school budgets.

ACMob

THANKS  JT!!

Ya think with all H. Rowan's $$$$--  the football team could make some road trips.  Football has provided much national recognition for RU.  Probably don't mean squat to the important people. ;D

Also, JT-- your doing an awesome job covering the team. ;)

JT

None of that money is allocated for athletics.  If I ever hit the mega, the athletics would get a much overdue upgrade.

phil

Henry was very specific where he wanted his Libyan furnace profits to go. He even tried to stipulate that free education should only go to non-unionized employees of Glassboro State. Not sure how he was talked out of that one ... oh yeah, the name of the dang college!

Money set aside for athletics? Pshaw. Not with Henry R. in charge. Although I'm sure monies from the state budget were much easier to allocate someplace other than in engineering once you have 100 million bucks in an interest bearing account.

At least Mr. Rowan donated enough money to change the name of GSC. Imagine if the Pine Island Cranberry Co. stepped to the plate instead of 'ol Henry? "The Fighten' Cranberrys" of Pine Island U. just doesn't quite have the same ring to it – though the inevitable change in colors would have certainly been an improvement.

ACMob

Good one Phil!  Shame HR wasn't a football star!! :)

I too enjoyed the yellow bus/ purple truck thing! 8)

Mount must be the "mammoth car"--  go speedy!! ;D

JT

Phil,

I kinda like the yellow unis, and the "evolution" of the brown ones.  I heard that a color change was contemplated after the Rowan nameplate was hung. I'm glad nothing changed.  The colors "brown-eyed susans" have growth on me.

Dr. xGSC

So Phil,

Will you be attending the game?

JT,

You heading down as well? Give me a call as I want to talk to you about what we discussed last week.

4mer & RU Fan,

As a former player and long-time fan, there is something about the Bermuda Triangle of RU/TCNJ/MSU where records can be put aside, where from the inner depths of football player emotions and guts, the rivalry of these matchups take precedent over anything else. Where those players affected step up their game and fight to the end. I don't foresee a blowout (though I would like to see one) in this game. Regardless of TCNJ and their present downslde, they will be ready to play as they have always been a formidable opponent. I hate to admit, but during my tenure at GSC, we never beat Trenton and there is nothing more that I would like to see than a can of "whoop azz" opened up on the boys of blue.

ROWAN BY 20 and THEY MUST PUT PRESSURE ON THE QB!

LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

JT

Dr. xGSC,

I've done what was asked, with regard to what we talked about.  I also asked if there was anything else, I'd rectify it immediately.

I haven't heard back, so I guess things are OK.

phil

Dr. xGSC
Naw, those Friday night games are murder for those of us who would need to travel from the other end of the state.

I think it's a given that Rowan will be able to pressure the QB. TCNJ's line is very young – thus the problems with the running game.
