Keep us updated, Phil.

I'll be busy jabbing a fork in my eye.

Phil-- I'm hopeful that no news is good news for RU!!

Rowan scored late for a 30-20 final. TCNJ unexpectedly took Rowan well into the fourth quarter by outscoring the Profs 20-7 in the second half. Here's a gem from 4merprof:

"I'll tell you what, as a Glassboro alum, I F*@&ing hate TCNJ.  I wish that the Profs would keep their starters in, that way the final score would be indicative of my true feelings for the Lions.
GO PROFS!!!
By the way,... Anyone thinking that this is even going to be a contest this year is sorely mistaken.
4merProfs prediction:  RU 56 TCNJ 6"

As we can see, 4merprof certainly was prophetic – Rowan kept their starters in until the final snap. If Encarnacion can't go against Cortland because of a late injury he'll wish that Rowan didn't have to.

Purely conjecture on my part as all I have is the Rowan broadcast to go by, but they said that he was being helped off the field by three trainers before being put into a cart at the end of the game. They reported that his arm was hanging limp at his side.

By that report it could be anything from a stinger to a collarbone injury.

ACMob

Appreciate it.

Your boys gained alot tonight even with the loss.

Good luck to TCNJ REST OF THE WAY!

When did RU(Rutgers) steal the Oregon Ducks home field?? :o

I went to my first prof game of the year tonight, and I must say that I was very dissappointed in what I saw.  Offensively, besides a small handfull of nice plays, the unit looked terrible.  QB was very rattled for most of the night, with constant pressure.  The o-line allowed pressure with a four man rush for most of the night.  Running backs are pretty tough, But the running plays are too predictable and very easy to read.  The defense actually looked pretty good, but they still let up too many big plays.  The special teams were not very special tonight.  A number 4 team in the country is supposed to look like a number four team in the country.  I'm sure they will slip in the polls this week.  Tonight the profs looked like a a team barely in the top 25 that had an off night!
I just hope for major improvements for the profs to make a serious run this year.

Rowan vs TCNJ and MSU are usually good games and the records can be thrown out the window for those. The Rowan score was 23-0 at half, and looking from the computer a blow-out was in the making. Congrats to Phil and his Lions even though they did not win. It appears that TCNJ never gave up and played with a lot of heart.

The weather is beautiful in Binghamton. Breakfast and a short ride to Cortland, and hopefully a great football game. This is my second trip to Cortland, and this is by far the best athletic facility I have seen.

Red Hawks : Play tough, play smart, and most of all play with a lot of heart.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Phil,
Welcome back... and yes it was me that stated that the female president of our alma mater is trying to turn our school into a "girls college"....sorry but i guess i am too close to the situation & have too much info, but it has gotten to be way too much for me & starting this year i will only donate $ directly to the football program, the general fund gets nothing from me from now on.... funny how my sons can manage very well at major big east universities , but the closest they can get to tcnj is to stand against the railing & watch a game....dont get me started.....
anyway, before i call my bets in for tomorrows nfl games i want to send them to our friend "4merprofs"... hope he can give me some advise... this way i can do exactly the opposite.... only 6 seniors on this years lions squad, now if we can pool our money & send "her " & a couple of cronnies on a cruise to say aruba, perhaps a few of the transfers & all state studs that would love to come to the "almost ivy league" school on pennington rd,  will actually get accepted & we will raise to the top of njac again... btw.. msu could very well be unbeaten & i am glad to see that brian reitmeier has been able to come all the way back from all those of injuries

I thought the first half went pretty much as expected.  I think Rowan was 100% from the red-zone.  Looks like the kicking game is coming around.

The keys to the game were that:

1) Rowan didn't score with their first couple possession in the 2nd half.

2) Ryan Ross was down, he actually rolled on the ground.  Got a fuzzy pic of him beginning to roll.  It happened near where I was standing.  Other TCNJ players admitted he was down.  No whistle.  How that was missed, I can't fathom.  It seems that there is always something crazy that is gonna happen when these two teams meet.

3) Ulysses Encarnacion's fumble through the end-zone.  I was right there, he was trying to reach the ball over the goal line and lost the handle.

All-in-all a typical Rowan-TCNJ contest.  The Profs should not fall in the polls, IMHO. They got the job done.

I thought the Lion D was pretty good, but the offense needs improve to finish above .500
