Heard the they boys are taking cold showers, no hot water in one of the dorms ??? Not sure if anyone mentioned it to the staff.

I know they are in the gym and attending a lot of meetings. Anyone know when the Lackawanna scrimmage is ?

When will we hear about new talent, Transfers and Fros?

Just playing with the Preview Top 50. There are 16 teams in the top 50.

NJAC   4
E-8      4
LL        4
MAC     2
NESAC 2

The cream of the crop Fisher, Springfield, Rowan and Wilkes. Can the cream of the crop make it to the final 4 and to the Stagg? IMHO yes and maybe.

Can the balance of the 12 maybe replace any of the cream of the crop. IMHO as a fan, yes.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Except for the two NESCAC teams, they take their balls home and stop playing before the playoffs.

Rams:

There's no P in Binghamton.  You have to hold it until you are outside the City limits. :)

I did. The above is a great line. +K

gordonmann

That's why they have those rest stops before and after Binghamton... Except they are both at the top  of the hill  and it all runs down hill.....

Hey all...

:(... it's a shame the administration does the bare minimum when it comes to athletics, but oh well we find a way to get through it.  I can remember having a morning session and the temp on the turf was a little over 100 degrees and then I went to take a shower turned the water on and it was icicles, it took my breath away... Abs horrible...No real news on MSU from what I have heard, no injuries so far thank God... The coaches are pushing them very hard; my sources tell me that what he is most impressed with is the overall team speed... They can fly!! I really do believe that with the leadership they have, combined with the overall talent MSU is going to turn some heads this year....

Wilkes I hope you boys have been hitting that sled because were coming!! Were coming hard!

You can make an argument that we have the toughest schedule in D3, especially out of conference.

At Wilkes, At Springfield, vs. Wesley is pretty tough.

At Christopher Newport, At Wilkes, vs. Widener might end up being pretty rough too.

Well if we are making arguments about schedules, Brockport has a tough one (as usual) again...last year for this though as the conference will finally take them out of such a hectic schedule...

This year again, vs. Salisbury, vs. Cortland, at Ithaca, at St. John Fisher, vs. Springfield, vs. Wesley are the best teams on the schedule...  2 national semifinalists, last year's E8 champion... pretty good!

Any idea which out of conference game Brockport intends to keep once they join the NJAC?  I would assume Ithaca due to longevity, but maybe Fisher because of proximity?  It's going to a good time once we are all in the league together officially.  My guess is Morrisville will get competitive in a hurry too.  I'm interested to see what they bring to the table this season.

Justin Bieber created 666 false D3 identities to give me negative karma.

It was announced last spring that Brockport will play Utica College for the first two years as members of the NJAC. That still gives the Eagles a tough schedule.

pg04

Utica?  That wouldn't have been the team I would have thought.

MSUBIRDGANG,

I enjoyed the Red & White game. Got to talk to some of the players parents which was interesting. Nice to get some insight.

The D looked awsome and quick. Our running backs were fast and quick. Jump looked good and saw limited time. The O was not bad for only one week of practice. I sensed more team spirit then I have in the past. They were really hitting hard. Lajterman punted well avering around 40 yards.

I think you may be right, this may be a special year. We have to want it real bad. Play as a family for 60 minutes and make it happen.

Next stop, Sam Mills Field for the Lackawana Scrimage.

I was also in attendance yesterday, and was equally impressed.  I worry about depth on both sides of the ball; seeing many injured players on the sidelines.  And as for the punter, why do you transfer from a D2 school to a D3 for only one year to kick?  I saw one nice punt, the others he hit for 30 with a 10-yard roll, because there was no return man.

40 yards is 40 yards no matter how you get it. ;) I'm pulling for Lajterman, I played soccer with his Uncle Abe many many moons ago in WVA. To the best of my knowledge, Mike had a run in with the coach at Bentley. He forced him to sit out last year. He should have another year of eligibility after this year.

As far as the depth on both sides of the ball you appear to be better informed. If I looked at the roster we have 30 Frosh. Yes this is a veteran team. I feel that Coach G. has the team headed in the right direction for the future. Time will tell. Like I have harped for the past few years we gotta play hard for 60 minutes and not a minute less expect for OT.
