JT,

That was a game between 2 very equal teams....wow what a game!!

oh...CNU didn't miss a 2 pt conversion....the dummies got so excited about the last TD and a 5 pt lead, that they kicked a PAT to go up by 6.....i think the emotion and excitement caused that decision. They should have gone for 2.....

the good news for the Profs - it was an out of region game.....even better news....they are one heck of a good team!

Finally - If Orihel was behind center today...RU wins.

The WGLS feed cut out right at the PAT.  I made the logical assumption that CNU went for two.

It seemed like Rankin was under pressure a good pct of the time.  I think Rankin can do the job, if he gets more time. Behind him is a Flutie type that I've heard good things about.

Now the Profs have a good idea what they need to work on.

Congrats To Willy P.

Nice win. Thanks for waking up a sleeping giant. We have to go there next week.  ;D This was a nice win for your program. Good luck the rest of the year, except when you play Montclair.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

A D1-AA player and a legit DI player (Ohio State RB) are obviously making an impact.

Hey now...I read Kickoff!  A 3-7 predicted record did not make me think they'd beat Wilkes in week 1.  Does this mean they are going 2-7 from here on out?   :D

What are your long term predictions for the Dragons this season?  I have been on an NCAA team of the 90's and some mediocre teams there after.  Do you think we may be an ECAC squad this year or possibly too green for that.  Any heads up would be great as I debate the trek to C State for next weeks night game kickoff with Morisville State!

One has to build off of previous seasons. Without a proven track record, you have to given the benefit of the doubt to proven programs.  That said, with WPU you are dealing with two very successful NJ HS coaches who are running the show in Paterson.  One coached Tampa Bay's Chris Simms.  They've sent quite a few kids away on scholarship.  And they are good coaches.  If a recruit in Northern or Central NJ takes a dump, I'll bet you the head coach and defensive coordinator can tell what color it was.

I've ref'ed their HS games.  These two are two of the best.  They'll still have to work hard because the NJAC has good coaching staffs from top to bottom.

Oh and the current HC helped Schiano get Rutgers going in the right direction.

Ah... too much semantics.  D1-AA makes sense, they give less scholarships then D1-A.  Further example of using to many words or definitions to say something ie., Shell Shock to Post Tramatic Stess Disorder.

Agreed, It was comical today trying to watch all the commentators trying to use the correct term but just kept saying the division formally known as 1AA

Depth is still a concern for the Pioneers.  Injuries were a big factor in last year's record.

Cortland is definitely of ECAC quality, if we want to use a definition we can all relate to.  The irony being of course, Cortland typically does not seem very interested when they get to ECAC games.  But since what we are really talking about is wins...I think we are in the 6-7 win range.  I can see it breaking higher if the offensive line comes together.  I cannot see it breaking lower.  Too much talent on defense, and at QB/RB/FB.

Watch the new TE too.  The kid has definite skills and is going to burn somebody.  I don't think Morrisville will be able to compete with Cortland this season.  Hopefully the Mustangs have enough recruits of age to bring their level up in 2008.  Otherwise the NJAC will not be kind to them.

I cannot see an undefeated NJAC record for any team in 2007.  There are too many land mines.

Why do you think this is? They've flopped vs decent competition recently in the ECACs...
