Congrats Rowan.  You played a great game.

Nice "little" QB you have.  Very quick.  Smart player.  He'll do well for you.  Do you have any other "Mike Warker's" you could send over to Widener.

MSUBIRDGANG / catchball / redhawk91,

Nice to see the number of Montclair posters growing.

What a great day in Dover last Sat. The boys were awsome and well coached. I was happy to cross into NJ Sunday morning. :)

Time for the NJAC to begin. No time for a let-up. Keep the intensity up. Let's show everyone these first 3 games were no mistake. Big rilvery in Ewing this Friday. See ya there.

110% For 60 Minutes and we're 4-0

Any news from camp this week ?

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

JT,

It's time for the NJAC to start. Rowan seems to be getting it together nicely. I expected you guys to beat Wilkes and last week was a statement game against Widner. Boy were those Wesley players big. :o Too bad we don't play each other at the end of the year. Watch out for Kean, Cortland and everyone in between. We both have to keep it up this week.

Rams-

No news from camp other than, MSU is going to go down to Ewing and put it on College of New Jersey for four quarters. These boys are determined those 3 games weren't a fluke, granted it will be no easy win but I can assure you the elder statesmen of  the team are hungry!!!

You know I have never really been much of a conspiracy theorist but some things have certainly been bothering me since Montclair State's stellar win vs. Wesley. I don't believe that the refs were stuck in traffic, you figure the refs usually arrive at the field about 3 hours before game time, granted it was the Dover 500 but if they left at the time when they should have, maybe at best they would have ran a little late. My opinion, I personally think that Wesley forgot to schedule the refs and blamed their incompetence on the NASCAR Race!!

Two I'll move on from Wesley's inability to do the most basic of tasks which comes standard with any football game (SCHEDULING REFS) lets talk about the refs so to the best of my understanding the scoreboard showed that they (Wesley) had two timeouts, however when MSU took over on the last series, the scoreboard read 0 to' s for Wesley and the tardy refs did not relay the situation to the MSU coaching staff, they simply started the 25 second clock all the while MSU is screaming how many timeouts and still they got no answer!!!....Shame on you Wesley and the refs!!! >:( >:( With all that it still got chalked it up as a loss!!!!                                      ;D  Go Montclair!!!!  ;D

The game was scheduled pretty late in the offseason, after the ECAC had gotten its list of games to assign for from Wesley. Officials were stuck in traffic, but that's because they were called that morning. Pretty lucky there was a Centennial Conference crew available -- they just had to get there.

I haven't seen one thing that said Wesley blamed its failure to assign officials on the NASCAR race. In fact, I interviewed Mike Drass yesterday and he took full responsibility.

From my upcoming column on CSTV.com:

QuoteSince the game was a late addition to Wesley's schedule, coach Mike Drass, who also is the school's athletic director, neglected to let the officials' assigner know that a crew would be needed. So a game that was scheduled to start at 1 p.m., on a NASCAR Busch Series race day in Dover, was delayed for three hours.

Thankfully, Wesley has lights.

"If you live long enough, you see everything," Drass said by phone. "It's my responsibility. Fortunately for us we were able to get a crew in and they did a great job. I talked to Rick (Giancola, Montclair's coach) and asked if he'd ever seen it before and he never had."

I was talking to one of the Wesley coaches while we were al patiently waiting for the refs to show up, he stated that the person who assigns the refs for the games was to blame. I stated that you would have thought the AD would have touched base with the powers that be during the week to make sure all was kosher ???
Moving on, both teams played a hell of a game, and i hate to keep harpiing on this, but I stated in my very first post that the O-line needs to step up for us to be successful, Wesley's Defense basically shut us down in the 2nd half. Thanks to special teams plays we had the run back at the start if the 2nd half.
I'm by far, not bashing MSU, it just at times they scare me and i'm to old to be having a heart attack at a footbal game. ;D ;D
I think the boys have a ton of confidence going into Ewing on Friday, I love night football games and can;t wait.

Hey RAMS  was that you in the white T-shirt, with your daughter? If so we spoke briefly.

C you all on Friday !!!

Every game that I have been to I have seen the officials tell both sidelines how many timeouts are remaining after each and every time. Maybe the officials decided to ignor whomever it was flagrantly using the F word in every sentence up in the coaches box!!!! It was clearly audible from the WDEL braodcast. I have since heard it was a Defensive coach. CLASS Especially since the fans are about 20 ft away...
Beyond  that the clocks are both kept by ncaa officials .I had the opportunity to do the score board a few years back(at that time, time outs weren't on the old board)But if one of those officials saw that I was not doing the job properlythey let me know.
It's easy to complain and gripe about the officials when you lose but when you do it when you win that's how do you say BUSH!!!!
