I must admit I just now realized what the Rowan coment meant...wow!!!!!! I'll  never forget that, and then afterwards they had Keeler on ESPN something like.."today we just got a taste of some home cookin" that team was awsome, I was a freshmen at the time playing special teams...I didn't think anyone could beat us, that was Ed Collins senior year, yeah I was wrong!!

Anywho big game tomorrow night in Ewing!!!

Go Red Hawks

TCNJ 6 Montclair 3

HALF

New Jersey controls time of possesion 19:59 to 10:01. Aside from that, it's been pretty even between the defenses.

Looks like Montclair ran 30 less plays and was intercepted four times. That will do it.

I enjoyed the live stats from 1400 miles away. Wish I could have been there!!!

Rams 1102 & company will have a long and lonely back up the Turnpike tonight! At least the refs showed up.

Hey Phil,
How are things down in Texas ?.... Hope all is well.... Lots of golf I bet... great win tonight for the Lions...I saw their game vs FDU , & I have been talkin to coach Ham , so I have to tell you that I am not really shocked.... the defense is good, they have developed a few young rec'vers, even though De Zutter is out for the year... they have opened up & spread out the offense...good qb for this type of spread .It's always good to beat Montclair.

catchball

I just don't know what to say, the team looked flat on both sides of the ball. Seemed to me that their heads weren't in the game. The O-line, where did they go ?? They did not have the intensity that they had the lfirst 3 games.
The defense really held the team together thru most of the game. As usual penalties hurt us, discipline, disciplne.  We needed to win the first conference game to keep the momentum going, big time,. I'm  sure practice this week is gonna be a bitch for the boys. game over , lets get ready for Buffalo.

Go Red Hawks !!

You've got to be ready for every team in this league. Every one of them now has good coaching.  Coach Hamilton cracks me up.  Interviewing him is like interviewing the absent minded professor.  He has a hard time remembering player names among other things, but he always puts something together.  Even when he's not supposed to have the talent.

Great upset, congrats to TCNJ.

The Mentor,
I'm definitely enjoying the golf down here. PGA pro KJ Choi lives across the street and Jeff Maggert down the road. I'm also enjoying swimming in the backyard and look forward to doing so into November — but definitely miss fall in NJ. That was my favorite time of year. Good golf weather. Giant games, Yankee games, TCNJ games...

I thought TCNJ could keep it close because I knew they had a very tough defense. I didn't know if they had enough on offense to get the job done though. What a pleasant surprise "watching" the live stats last night after work!

catchball,
Their heads didn't seem to be in the game? If that's the case there's a coaching problem — and I have enough respect for Montclair's coaches to know that is not the case. The 75th meeting and oldest continuing rivalry in the state of NJ, in front of a large crowd on Friday night in the first NJAC game for both squads and you claim MSU didn't have their heads in the game? I'd be shocked if that were the case with TCNJ facing Rowan and MSU facing Buffalo next week. Perhaps you might want to tip your cap to TCNJ's defense instead of blaming your side.

Rams 1102... your take on this? And good luck to your side the rest of the way. It would be nice to see a three-way battle for the NJAC with Rowan, Montclair and TCNJ for a change — the old-time teams of the NJAC!

Maybe not such a head scratcher after all.  Buff State gave Cortland everything they could handle on the road, and Kean went down hard to Albright.  I'm thinking Buff State vs Montclair will be a good game next week.
