Hey NJACers,

How does rams1102 have neg 2 karma after 631 posts. All he does is root for Montclair and run around tailgates giving out tasty Kielbasa.
You guys are tough.

Although , the 110% for 60 minutes can get annoying. ;D

Have fun in WVA.

Thanks fro the nice words. The karma stuff is what it is. Sometimes you P-Off the wrong people. That's life. My one comment that may be annoying, but boy is it the truth. There are times when you give it your all and are beaten by a better team and that's OK, but when you take a little Knap you usually pay for it. These kids from Montclair are a special group and have a chance to maybe make some noise in the playoffs, if they keep their heads together. Wesley is some huge and talented team and we proved it can be done. I'm sure the Wesley fans will say they let it slip away. Good luck to your Wilkes boys!!!

Cortland squeaks one out against West Conn.  Great job on going 5-1!  Now its time to tackle the meat of the schedule with the Jersey squads.

Cortland - West Conn was an amazing game.  Nice cool autumn day, and 2 offenses that were on fire.  That was a lot of fun and really reminded me of why I love D3 football Saturdays.

Looking forward to the Montclair game next week.  The next 3 weeks decide the NJAC for TCNJ, Cortland, Rowan, and Montclair.

Dan,
Was West Conns Offense legit, or was the Cortland D a bit off?

Both.  They killed us by getting their speed players in space and letting them make things happen.  There were a lot of missed tackles by Cortland, but West Conn deserves most of the credit.  I think James Williams, the West Conn QB, is pretty darn good.

The truth is we still have to prove ourselves.  We've beaten the bottom of the NJAC, and will now face nothing but the top.  5-1 is a great record for a team which graduated so much talent, and it suggests our program is becoming the type which reloads instead of rebuilds.  But I'm not getting excited until I see how we match up with a power like Montclair.

This year's team wins by forfeit -- last year's team has player who are out of eligibility. :)

Not an issue. Just wish I'd had more time to deal with it before this morning. As it was, I answered a couple of e-mails on the subject from my cellphone, including in the airport.

Cstate -

This year's team could hang with last year's team as it was at the end of the season, due to all of the injuries.  Before all of the injuries, the 2006 Cortland team was overpowering.

Like I said, I don't think there is any point in getting excited before we see how we match up with a team like Montclair.  And even though TCNJ has the inside track at the moment, I really don't think anyone in the league wants to play Rowan in a 1-game elimination battle.  However the Cortland offense is way ahead of where it was in week 2, when Miles had his first full start and the offensive line was still coming together.  I don't have any doubt we can put up points.  It will probably come down to how well our defense contains the Red Hawks.
