CF, I was just looking at the SOS numbers for the top E8 teams and if SJF wins out then I think Alfred will get a Pool C, but if Alfred wins out, or Hartwick wins out then there could be a 1 loss team and two 2 loss teams in the E8 and then TCNJ is in just as good a position, plus if things hold up like they have been TCNJ's one loss is not a bad loss.

Honestly the E8 and NJAC may knock each other off and god forbid somehow an NEFC team gets a C bid.

Tough loss guys....Just like Sam Mills always said though.."Keep Pounding"  thats it just keep pounding!!!!!

Go Red Hawks

Great quote from Sam Mills. +K  What's up with McCoach?
Mc Coach hurt his shoulder in the game against Kean.

I think Montcalir needs tp go back to the pro-set. Was really praying for a win against Cortland. Ok Game over lets move on to next week. Keep your chins up and play the final 3 games tough.

predictions for the TCNJ-Cortland game??? is the cortland O better with miles instead of smith? have they changed their O philosophy to  more pass oriented with miles at the helm?

all questions i used to be able to answer while on campus and watching the games

DanPadavona

Miles has a really good arm.  Smith has the x-factor with his ability to scramble, and I think he is still the premiere QB in the NJAC in 2007 if healthy.

Cortland started to spread the field out more last season, and have been passing more than in the past ever since.  Lots of 3 WR sets.  This season they have struggled to consistently run the football, so they have relied even more on the passing game.

My guess is Saturday will be a defensive struggle, with field position and turnovers having a huge impact.

Lets hope its TCNJ struggling with the Cortland Defense!  Debating on making the trip and checking this one out.

TCNJ is 10th in D3 against the run and 14th against the pass. The question will be whether TCNJ's anemic offense will be able to effectively move the ball through the air. If so, it might open up the run a bit against the tough Cortland run defense.

Turnovers could decide, although it will be very, very tough for the Lions to play from behind. They need to control the ball like they did against Montclair.

Any predictions with the Cortland- TCNJ game?    As my High School season dwindles down  I have no other teams to follow with any real enthusiasm.  C State, lets not let down on yourselves, or the former players that are following your season with much excitement.

Cortland getting pounded 30-0....wtf?

Well perhaps TCNJ might finally get some recognition after knocking off the #25 team (as per the Around the Region column when referring to Cortland's victory over Montclair last week). Reading between the lines I felt he wanted to write that a Cortland victory today was preordained.

Montclair, Rowan, and Cortland combined for 14 points against TCNJ this season.

The stats show there was little luck involved in the 30-0 outcome.
478-214 total yards
23-10 first downs
38:00 - 22:00 time of possession
3 - 0 sacks

Cortland 10-35 with 4 INTs
TCNJ 12-23 with 1 INT

A fairly dominating performance by the team picked to finish next to last in the NJAC. A win against Buff. St. or Kean clinches what might have been considered a very unlikely NJAC championship back in early Sept.

A very silent room during the game. I'll just assume all the Cortland posters traveled down to New Jersey today!
