Lots of speculation going on in the  general boards about the Empire 8 opening  invites to non conference schools in NY and CONTIGUOUS states for football only..

You guys want into the E-8? Talk about Travel !!!

Probably the best thing for the NJAC would be to put Wesley and Salisbury in and let B-Port, Morris and Cortland go to the E-8. That would make travel better. Or keep Cortland and make the NJAC (9) teams. We know it will never happen especially with B-Port and Morris just coming in. It's nice to dream a little in March.

yup but certainly would give the njac instant credibility as wesley and salisbury are almost always in the top20 now if not the top 10 in the polls...would give rowan et al a huge run for their money and beat up on one another all season

I agree. It's like looking who's running for Pres, they all suck and all of us working slobs are getting screwed. When will it ever chage. I hope in my lifetime !!!

Well I hope its not a rebuild year !!  Team still has a lot of talent IMHO, backs, receivers, O-line and D-line. Its just a matter of these up and coming players to prove themselves.  QB, still haven't heard who, what or where ?

It's funny, because everything is mum in the NJAC until camps open. We just have to keep the faith and let Coach G. and crew do their work.

I plan to miss only (1) game this year. College reunion in WVa. for the Cortland game.

Did you guys hear that Weisnewski (sp) is leaving MSU   Heard he is getting the head coaching job at  the Highschool where he teaches...WOW... will they look to hire a new running back coach or what ?

Rowan Def. Coordinator Mark Hendricks has accepted the position of DB coach at 1-AA James Madison University.  Congrats Mark, and good luck.  Profs will have some big shoes to fill.

word is that a new RB coach is not being pursued, Coach who works with the receivers will also coach the RB's.

Well the boys hit the practice field last week for spring training.  Heard of a walk-on QB, that tried walking on at another school (D1) but didn't make the cut. Maybe he'll make it at MSU.

Nice piece of news. I hope the walk on QB has the talent of DiGeralamo, goes to classes and wants to get a great education. A talented mobile QB can help out the "O" line. +K for the info. Already planning my Up-State NY business trips co-incide with Morrisville and Cortland.

I just read this, Danny Federici of the E Street Band has passed away after a fight with cancer.
