NJAC schools need do little more than supply links from their athletic pages to the D3football/basketball sites. Cost to Pat=$0.

I used to post here tons from the very beginning — but two children and a move to Houston later it's become very difficult. I do miss the days of Rodman from WestConn though. Not to mention when I used to go head to head with JT and the multitude of posters (where are they now?) from the 'boro. I still look in every day though...

Hey JT, whatever happend to that professional soccer complex they were going to build to re-do downtown Glassboro so the town would become Rowan-centric? I seem to remember Rowan officials asking for some silly sum of money from a pro soccer franchise to put up. Sort of "Field of Dreams" turned inside out... "If YOU build it YOU can come"!

...ahhh, the good old days.

PS Pat, Greg Grant is back at TCNJ as an assistant basketball coach!

Look at how far the board has come by word of mouth, think of where it could go with a little on site advertising. Like I said just a trial run for every team in the NJAC to put up signage around their stadium for two weeks, I think it would generate a nice little buzz, couldn't hurt to try. The opening game at Montclair had a decent amount of fans, not sure of the exact number I would have to ask Mr. Michael Skala, obviously we have Dave who is a lifer, and also in attendance were plenty of students, friends and family. I would bet a decent amount of them are not aware of this site, target the students get them involved, think of a fun slogan, and get them on here having some fun, if five to ten new members join from each team in the NJAC, I would say that would be a positive ROI.

We could ask but we don't really have the budget to pay for it. I know that some schools in the NJAC would have no part of such a request, also. :)

Phil,

Stop complaining and making excuses why you can't post more. ;D On a serious note, how did you and the family make out with Ike? I hope all is well.

We made it through OK. But I'll never stay for a hurricane of this magnitude again. I thought it was a "walk in the park" until we lost power at 6:30AM (about the halfway point). Our house made it through in fine shape — considering we lost trees everywhere up here in The Woodlands (go figure). We were without power for five days. My daughter is still home because they have no power at the school a mile from our house! Our friends had $200,000 worth of damage as they had several trees centerpunch their house. There was irony though... I watched a Bentley and Ferrari sharing a stop sign with a FEMA truck. Methinks FEMA would have better serviced the good folks further southeast from us! There are areas not too far away which have been leveled — and are only now being reached by search teams with cadaver dogs. I think some of this info has been lost on the general public in the midst of the economic news and presidential race.

It was a bit scary. Being in the dark, without information, low on ice, no generator, and no stores open or gas available — it was an eye opener. We had a standing offer to be put up by a hotel in New Orleans free of charge (wife's line of work). Two rooms, including our kids and cats. Next time we're there! I MISS JERSEY!

Phil,

That's some story. I'm glad you and your family came out of it OK. You're always welcome back in Jersey. Come back soon and maybe you can save the Rutgers season. :D

How about asking the contacts from each school to just add a little "visit D3football.com" in the lineup inserts each team adds to the programs each week? It can't hurt and 50% participation of schools wouldn't be bad...I know some of the team sites already have icons to D3.
Even a little by-line on the front page of the D3 site.... Something like,

Been a busy week, some testing and papers to get done. We are getting more confident everyday and we are ready for Brockport. O-line has to play well this week, we need to make a statement with our ground and air game. We have to take advantage of our oppurtunities, and put some points on the board.
C ya all on Saturday !!

21 to 28 points is a must for Montclair if we want to move to the next level and it should not be a problem. We have to want it bad enough.
