This is absolutely ridiculous and this is not a case of sour apples bc I played at MSU...Not a single worthwile out-of-conference victory in 2008 how can this be justified? Sorry but this is exactly what I said it is...A JOKE

Best of luck to Cortland next week represent the NJAC!!

I think that Rowan or MSU would be a better choice than Curry,  but this quote above needs to be thought about.  Here's the NJAC's non-conference slate:
FDU-Florham 42, TCNJ 41
Kean 40, USMMA-Kings Point 0
Rowan 24, Bridgewater State (MA) 14
Albright 30, Western Connecticut 27
Montclair State 13, Wilkes 6
St. John Fisher 20, Buffalo State 7
William Paterson 21, USMMA-Kings Point 13
Frostburg 27, Brockport 14
Ithaca 35, Cortland 13
Morrisville State 39, Mt. Ida 8

So, from what I can tell without looking up every opponent, the conference played four teams with winning records (BSU, Ithaca, Albright and SJF) and went 1-3 in those games.  Granted W Conn and Buff were decided underdogs.  The best OOC win looks like MSU vs. 4-6 Wilkes, so while I believe that there are about five teams that are probably better than Curry (maybe more) in the East, the NJAC didn't drop the lumber on a powerhouse non-conference slate.

the entire population of Plymouth, NH with room to spare.

We're making conclusions based on the NJAC's non-conference schedule????

With that analysis we should now assume subtraction by addition. In other words, by adding the likes of Buffalo, Morrisville, Brockport, Western Connecticut and Cortland to the NJAC — so teams like Kean, WPU, TCNJ, Montclair and Rowan might have a prayer of filling out a ten game schedule — we should now assume all the NJAC teams have somehow become weaker on the basis of a one game non-conference schedule for each. Based on this assumption, what should we conclude about the NEFC?

When comparing conferences would anyone care to guess where the top two NEFC teams might have finished in the NJAC this year? Giving these two NEFC teams the benefit of the doubt, feel free to assume they got a leg up on the rest of the NJAC by scheduling Mount Union as their one non-conference foe for the year!

I just got back home, went to D3football.com and observed Curry in and Montclair out. Like I said yesterday after I got home from the Kean game, we did not deserve an NCAA Bid because we blew a game we should have won. We have nobody but ourselves to blame, BUT :

Curry getting in and and 2 from the NEFC really sucks. I thought we have problems in Washington, DC but the NCAA takes the cake. If you put Salisbury or Wooster in that would make sense but FREAKIN CURRY, again that sucks.

I can't believe we blew an NCAA bid, but life goes on. Still have to go to work tomorrow. Hopefully an ECAC bid.

Cortland, go kick some butt and represent the NJAC well.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Good point.

The conference schedules are what should be looked at here.  I talked about this on the other board but I think the NJAC from top to bottom might be as good as it ever was.  Sure, the top 3 teams arent national powers but if you combined the nefc and njac and had all the teams play each other I think 8 of the top 10 ten teams would be from the NJAC.

And thats where an 8-2 in the njac should be better than a 9-1 in the NEFC.  Just my opinion though.  So while Curry struggles with Fitchburg St and Worcester ST, Rowan and Montclair had to struggle with Kean, TCNJ, and Brockport.
