Hey guys, I will be writing for MSU football this season for the school newspaper.

In any case, after looking at the NJAC coaches' poll, I was surprised to see Rowan at the top, I was sure that it would be Cortland State at #1. Rowan isn't even in the top 25, while Cortland and Montclair are, but we will see how things pan out. Preseason polls don't hold a lot of meaning.

I'm hoping that the Red Hawks learned their hard lesson from the end of last season, where they were one half away from a NCAA berth before blowing up against Kean and not showing up against Albright. I think the team has a lot of promise and the offense should score more points hopefully.

Can't wait to see Cortland come to Montclair this year, last year's game between the two was very entertaining.

Welcome aboard.  The coaches were probably looking at who was returning and who needs to replace more starters.  In this case it would be Cortland that lost more starters.  The top 25 voters are probably wondering whether Rowan can finish.  The past two years the Profs have lost the key games that they historically win. Perhaps some of the instant national credibility Rowan used to bring into most seasons, needs to be re-established on the field.

Took a quick look at what the Kickoff had to say about the NJAC. It appears that Cortland will go undefeated, Rowan 8-2 (1 loss in conf and one out) and Montclair (2 losses in Conf). Rowan probably losing to Cortland and Montclair losing to Cortland and Rowan. I question why Montclair was picked #21 in the Pre-Season Poll.

Anyway I feel that Montclair has to become less predictable on offense and Fisher has to step up and take charge. I have been tough on him and I must realize that he was a freshmen last year. He also has to scramble when needed and not force the issue. Our defense will be OK. I always say 110-60. If we stick to that I hope the Red Hawks may turn a few heads. I like the underdog position. One game at a time and let's see what happens.

I have really tried to generate some interest in this board, but I guess it will not happen until the season starts. With Cortland, Montclair and Rowan in the Top 26, Kean getting a mention in the Preview, the NJAC Coaches picking Rowan to win it, and the D3 Preview having Cortland going un-defeated and the only consistancy is Montclair being picked 3rd. I guess we will have to wait till the season starts to generate some interest here, if that happens.

How have you been buddy, looking for a real big season out of my guys, the renovation at Panzer gym looks great, especially the new locker room and weight room!!!!We have some real studs back on both sides of the ball, throw that in with the young bucks and some transfers...Watch out NJAC Montclair is here!!

I would love to think that Kickoff has it right picking Cortland to go undefeated but I think it is a long shot.   We have an inexperienced offensive line, we are very young with only 7 or 8 seniors and we are not as deep as in years past.   That being said, we have a strong incoming class and would expect that someone may step up.  I think our QB will turn heads if the OL gives him the opportunity.

I think the NJAC will be real competitive this year. If our now soph QB steps it up we will be a force to be reconed with, along with you guys, Rowan, Kean, B-Port, TCNJ and the rest of the crew. I'm 15 minutes from Willy P and will take in their game w/B-port since we don't open till the 12th in Wilkes Barre. Good luck to everyone also.
