Hey Everyone,

RU is just a fan, give him a break.

When I first came on board in 2002, I took a lot of heat and sometimes still do. xGSC broke my stones constantly, and last week after standing in the rain at Sam Mills Field, I was not in any mood to read Gro's comment even though he was just kidding about the MSU-Kean game, but I got off the hook when everyone went after RU. I am not politically correct, and the only butt I kiss is my wife's on a rare ocassion.

Now down to the D-1/D-2 kids comming to D-3 schools. I would venture to say that MUC, Linfield, Rowan and others all participate. I'm talking about the  the big boys(schools deep into the playoffs). They also have a lot of great young talent that want to play ball and get an education. That 20% or so makes a big difference in a national championship. This is not to knock anyone, but this is IMHO

The question for us Red Hawk fans is :

Can we pull off a win against offensive minded W. Conn ?

Dave-- what happen to your last post??

The BIG question has been asked, but I can't hold my breathe anymore!

I'll go with another toss-up for your boys; it worked for a MSU win last week.  Phil might be able to give ya more insight.  TCNJ looked good @ half, but they laid a egg after that!

Alright Dave-- I see ya got the color thing down now. ;)

ACMob,

I'm starting to get that crazy feeling, fairy tales can come true. ;)

Rams,
And you are a better man for the bustings you used to take. Oops, a better poster. Now, as for the butt kissing, that is more info than we need to know. Are you venturing on down to the BORO in November?

Is there a D3 football program that would not accept a D1 scholarship player that could contribute to their program. I seriously doubt it. It just so happens that it only or mostly makes headlines and causes debate in some of the better known schools (RU, Linfield, MUC, etc.). If it is done within the rules of the NCAA then good for the school that can upgrade their football program.
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

dr gsc, I agree with you that you cant blame the schools for transfers.  I would do it to if it made my team better, but....

I think transfers should have to sit out a year if they move down a division, and they have to go to that school for the one year they sit out.  You dont lose a year of eligiblity, but you have to sit the year out.  Since you are going to a d3school to be a student athlete anyway, this shouldnt be a problem.....and I think Rowan would be a top 5 team in the nation even if they didnt have those transfers past or present, so Im not talking about them.  I just dont like seeing d3 as a dumping ground for d1 or d-1aa players that couldnt hack it there.

You all can think what you want.  What Warren posted, from an admittedly knowledgable person, was stupid.  Now you can all sugar coat it as much as you want and jump to his defense, but you know what, it is what it is.

Jony Utah

I won't even give you the courtesy of a response.  My prior post to you still stands ..... in fact, you keep reinforcing it .... ie., "I just dont like seeing d3 as a dumping ground for d1 or d-1aa players that couldnt hack it there".

Rams1102

I appreciate your defense.  Its not a question of "politically correct", its a question of don't tell us what we don't want or like to hear .... just sit there an let us do it to you.  All of the mutual massagers don't bother me at all .... in fact, they amuse me.

Careful, you're bordering on telling them what they don't want to hear.  Of course they would all jump at the opportunity.  Problem is, they can't attract them.  Now all of you mutual admirers can disagree, but what the Good Doctor said, is absolutely the truth.

Dr. xGSC,

I'll be there. ;) The memories of 2 years ago still linger. I hope we are in a position like we were 2 years ago. :)

I was not knocking the Rowan program, only stating MHO.

Here's a question for you ...............

You're the Head Coach at your DIII school of choice and Brett Elliot's father calls and asks you if you would be interested in his son as a QB transfer.  What do you say ???

(Disclaimer:  Careful boys and girls, here comes the bullpoop ... are you listening Coach Locey?)

RU fan, besides the fact you are a clown, you are a dumb clown......... you state that  dont want a response from me but then you ask me a question that I already answered in my last post....so my answer is the same.....

" I would do it to if it made my team better, but...."

and yea, the guys that go from d1 to d3 are 99% of the time guys that were backups at d1 schools......

now some of these guys start up as back ups at d1 programs like maryland and utah and end up being great starters at d3 schools like rowan or linfield......

and there are some guys like rufan who probably go from second string at a school like wagner to fourth string at a shcool like rowan.

Go find the post where I question anything about the Rowan's program. I have no problems with Rowan's current state of affairs.

Once a certain head coach moved on and one year D1 mutton-headed transfers dwindled to a qualified few – and the Gloucester County Swat team stopped making steroid busts – I actually became a Rowan advocate. I think the Profs are doing it the right way.

I also butted heads with Dave many a time over very shady happenings at Montclair. So shady I joined xGSC and others at Montclair rooting for the brown and yella to whip the Red Hawks. The funny thing is that Dave actually came around and saw exactly what I was talking about.

However vociferous my fights with the Rowan and Montclair fans have been over the years, I don't recall ever calling anyone "dopes" or "stupid". I've posted up many times in support of Rowan's current program because of the negative connotation created down at the 'boro a decade ago by both the football and basketball programs.

So let's make this crystal. I really don't have a problem with the Profs – if Mr. Elliot's dad calls and he has the grades to transfer – let 'em in! If he's played three years of D1 ball, scored 700 on his SATs, failed out of D1 (or was about to) – tell him to apply to the Golden Arches School of Restaurant Management. A number of years ago this kid (the one-semester wonder) would be suiting it up at Rowan. Now he wouldn't. Unfortunately for you, the rest of D3 doesn't know this and you get to fight 10 year old stereotypes.

Phil--  what happened in the second half yesterday?? >:(  Things looked good @ the half!!

JU & RU--  contender rematch?? ;D

Dave-- "no crying in shipp...", I mean no fairy tales in football! :)

TCNJ established a running game, limited WestConn to just over 200 total yards, outrushed WestConn 151-30 on the day and out-passed WetConn 179-175. The problem was the the Lions started two offensive sets inside the Colonials five and got zero points, they roughed the kicker when WestConn was on their own 20 which led to a Colonial field goal ... and after going up 17-10 in the fourth quarter gave up a 100 yd. kickoff return and a 35 yard INT. for TD's.

The game was there for the Lions to win handily. As young and banged-up as TCNJ is, there's absolutely no reason Montclair couldn't beat WestConn.
