Montclair collapses in 2nd half again, 16-14 MSU leads with about 5 minutes left after a missed 2 point conversion.

Just as I was giving MSU Props they start falling apart...
Geex the offensive line is playing as usual.

pg04

MSU with a key interception , 2:30 left.  I think HSC has all their timeouts.  16-14 still MSU

pg04

MSU will win, They can run out the clock after getting a pivotal 1st down.  Side note, the announcer keeps coughing and it's very distracting...

pg04

Cortland allows a lot of points versus Endicott and has 3 turnovers.  Obviously will have to clean that up for the game against Alfred.

I shut the Cortland broadcast off when it was 42-14 only to check back and see it was 49-28!  Was there a mass substitution on the defensive side of the ball?..or did Endicott just stick it to them?

If that was the first unit giving up garbage points, that does not leave a good feeling for next week.
Taste It!

Nevertheless, Congrats to MSU and Cortland for representing the NJAC well!!

Two in the sweet sixteen.  Can they get to the elite eight?

MSU couldn't cover 6.5  ???

I was surprised by that too.  Thought they'd shut out HSC or at least hold them to only 1 score.

Regardless, the road probably ends at Wesley next weekend, but it should be a good game

pg04

It was 16-0 going into the 4th quarter.  For Some reason MSU allows teams back into the game.  Like when they lost to Cortland and when they squeaked by Brockport 27-22

I rated HSC a William Paterson in talent.  MSU had better not screw around next week.  The quarterback is the biggest liability at this point.

Cortland gives up another score for a final of 35?.........WTF!  Did Maritime send their JV squad up to Alfred today?  That was a beat down (1st half) of biblical proportions!

Just look at Maritime's schedule and you should be able to see that despite their 10-0, they were in way over their head playing Alfred today.  They were a good story but beating Mount Ida, Anna Maria and whatever names you want to throw in there just is not that impressive.

Montclair's initial 4th quarter first down clinched the game with 2:30 left. The D was on the field way too long.

Still, not too bad considering the absolute lack of respect given the NJAC lately (MSU an 18 point dog by the esteemed Pat C. no less!) – and I still think the best team in the conference was Rowan.

HSC was held under their scoring average by 3 TD's and scored 14 – seven points less than their lowest output of the season. Gee, New Jersey, Buffalo and Brockport scored at least that much against Montclair.
