i have to agree with de weselyfan.  those were some of the nicest facilities i have seen since 2004 when my son started going to wesley.  i have traveled many a place and without a doubt props go out to kean for all they have there.  great visitor stands and parking made it a nice trip, well until the last minute of the game.  welcome to the top 25, facilities are in the top 5.

4th quarter - Buffalo State 7 SJ Fisher 6 - Bengals trying to hold on with 4 minutes to play.  Interesting score to say the least.

Interesting to say the least Dan. Alas my BENGALS couldnt pull this 1 off >:(  (giving up a score with 2:03 left in the game). I must admit that after losing to Cortland and St. Johns last year by a combined score of 89-33 (at home) and putting in 2 decent performances this year (leading both games well into the 2nd half) albeit losing both by a combined  score of 40-19 (both on the road), gives the BENGAL faithful hope for 2011.

+K Bengalsrule.  You are a welcome addition to the Eastern Region boards.

My take on Buffalo State from having watched them at Cortland, and listened to the game vs Fisher, is that their starters can play with anyone in the NJAC and E8. Ismail Brooks (Sophomore RB from Auburn HS) is a terrific play maker. That kid is flat out dangerous.

It takes time to fill out an entire roster no matter how good a recruiter you are. Coach Boyes is a proven commodity as a great recruiter. But I believe they have depth issues right now and it is killing them in the 2nd halves of games. Give him another season of recruiting and those issues should go away.

I'm sorry to see Buffalo State leaving the NJAC just as they are returning to Eastern Region prominence. I would love to keep them and jettison West Conn. I expect to see the Bengals competing for the E8 title year-in and year-out, starting next season.

+K Wesleydad - I completely agree. The trip to Kean is always a welcome one as a Cortland fan. I put their facilities right up there with Cortland's, which is as good as any in Eastern Region.

Also props to Kean for the Live video feed.  I watched the entire Kean-Wesley game and never had any bandwidth issues. Terrific! I wish every school provided this. It's a hoot being able to watch D3 games Live over the net. Next step is to have the feeds On-Demand so we can watch games after returning from our own.

Hats off to Kean again for their signature win over Wesley this past weekend. For an East Region team, one not even in the ERFP the previous week to defeat the #3 team in the nation does bode quite well for the East region.

I don't have any pics and neither does the official site apparently, but Rowan got a big time upgrade.  Metal bleachers both sides, nice new expanded press box, elevator to press box, new scoreboard.  It is finally a nice D3 field.  For those that have come before like Pat and Keith, its a nice place, especially relative to the past.  The only that needs replacing or an upgrade is the field house.

It looks like the Rowan West sports complex (old peach orchards) is going to be a while in the making, given the economy and other factors.  If they can eventually make a pro soccer co-opt deal, you may see a new football stadium on the West campus, but that's a long time coming... IMHO.  I see the field house getting remade/rebuilt and Pat, me, and Keith becoming grandparents first before/if the football field gets moved.

I will pile on and say I also thoroughly enjoyed my one trip to Kean.

Kean is a nice place, so is TCNJ, but finally Rowan measures up, and no longer an afterthought due to the elite in charge.

Yes, I liked TCNJ as well.  Unfortunately I never went to Rowan (and obviously it's changed now) so an opinion on comparisons there can't really be made.

At least the wood bleachers and press box are gone.  It was time to realize that the Rowan West Campus Sports Complex may not materialize.

Its a nice little stadium now. Finally.

I think there are some very respectable football facilities in the NJAC but I'll put Cortland's up against anybodies.

That is one thing that bothers me about the Ithaca website.  Ithaca has one of the nicest settings/field/views for football in the entire country, and they don't have one picture on the webpage of it.

It's sort of absurd. When you go to the facilities page and click on the links, you get a short, written history. I mean, how many people care when the press box was renovated? And there's only a handful of photos of the completed A&E center--most are of the construction process.
