TCNJ deserved the "W". The Cougar's offense was totally shut down after the first quarter. TCNJ's kicking cost them the game.

Can you believe they beat Wesley, and then Cortland had them and they, well did not do it. As I said before a W is a W. A tough one to lose my friend.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

TCNJ is a good team. I've said it since last year. They beat Kean last year and had the bulk of the team back for this year. There was no reason to believe that this game could be a blowout in Kean's favor – despite what some posters thought. A disappointing loss for sure. TCNJ had the game in their hands...

A 7-6 game with the stats dead even. TCNJ gets 2 votes in the latest poll while Kean is #10? No, there's not that much difference between these two teams.

Well now that this game is over, it's probably better for the east that Kean and MSU both make it undefeated to their meeting, and one of them runs the table...

dlippiel

Guess dlip's score prediction of Kean-42 TCNJ-17 was as far off as could be. At least he picked the winner correctly...even if they won by one. What does this say about Kean? dlip believes TCNJ is a good football team, certainly much better then West Conn, but dlip just isn't getting a good read on Kean. He wishes he had the time to go and see them play. Once again, against good competition (see COrtland game) the Cougars "sqeak" out a win against a team that "could have/should have" won. A tough read but another W none the less. Maybe it's about time dlip gives the Cougars a bit more credit and accept the possibiity that the football gods may be in their corner here in 2011. Congrats to Kean, every W The Cougars continue to put up helps to convince  some(some of us who are hesitant to annoint them "New King of the East" after their defeat of Wesley) that they may indeed be the best team in the East this year.

Kean pulls off another W in another game that could have gone either way.  Maybe dlip is right and the football gods have a hand in their success.  Having seen the win they got off of Cortland and last nights win over TCNJ makes me think of the expression "Luck is the residue of preparation."  Congrats to Kean for making it happen when it counts.

7-6 just seems rather putrid! Was it awful offensive football, or truly great defensive football?  Somewhere in between with a little help from the rain? ....

I figured Kean would win simply based on what the have done this year, but was holding out for TCNJ because they put together a good season every 3 years or so!

Just need Cortland to keep on winning and hope for the rest of the pieces to somehow fall into place!

Taste It!

TCNJ had four trips inside the red zone and came away with one TD, a bad snap on the extra point, a missed chip-shot field goal, an interception and a blocked field goal. Kean had one trip inside the red zone all night and came away with seven points. Kean won because they executed when it counted.

Don't know how you can possibly call it awful offensive football based on the score. Not when both these teams have put up the numbers they have so far this season.

??

1.  The score was 7-6
2.  Numbers this season wouldn't really reflect 'offensive football' for a game
3.  Wouldn't an abberation of the offensive numbers for a game mean that it could have been a night of awful offensive football?

There you go Kean....that was your 'stub your toe' game and you made it through.

Tighten up and make 2011 more memorable.
