Montclair - 36        W. Conn - 13

Another soaking affair. The young Red Hawks are starting to put it together. McCouch had to be close to 150 yards rushing. We now have a decent running game, and we passed ok when we had to. Congratulations to all the players. A job well done. The D was good. We have to protect against the deep pass. That has been a problem for the past few years. The O line is starting to put it together. We have a tough one in Ewing next week. All the records can be thrown out the window. To say it nicely, it will be a great rilvery. Prepare well young Red Hawks and come away with a win next Saturday.

Congrats to Rowan, you boys should be #2 in the country come tomorrows Poll.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

With Port winning BIG, next week should be a good game @ Rowan?

ACMob,

Thanks. :) You know whats on my mind, but cant think or talk about it for at least a week. ;D How does it feel to probably be #2 in the country? ;)

Dave, the Prof fans know what it feels like to be #2 in the country!! :-\

We really want to know what it feels like to be #1 after a Stagg Bowl.  8)

Dan, I dont think the e8 would ever let a public school in and Ithaca probably was included that but I assure you that the cortaca game is the #1 priority for Ithaca over any conference.  Springfield, although like Ithaca and Cortland has a good phys ed program but it is private none the less.  And Springfield had to end a huge rivalry with aic because of conference/division stuff.

(meaning that cortland would always be on ithacas schedule.  Ithaca would leave the league before that game would be eliminated.)

Hi Jonny.  Of course it is all rumor and innuendo, but I am told Ithaca voted for our inclusion in the E8.  The other schools voted against.  Not surprising, as IC plays us, Brockport, and Buff State.

Kean faithful-- your teams chances of winning today have increased because RU is missing a key cog in their offense, however, the defense and offensive lines are the same as last week when they dominanted a strong Cortland team for much of the game.  The same Cortland team that beat up on KU earlier in the season!

Uhhh AC...

I give full props to Rowan for remaining the Beast of the East.  However they did NOT dominate Cortland.  They held on to win by 1 touchdown, and that included a punt block TD by Rowan and a 2nd punt block which set up a score.  Check the game stats.  Total yardage was +2 in our favor, basically dead even.

We'll be looking for you again next season...Good luck in the NCAA's this year.

ACMob

DP-- I was just ready to say good win today-- "Good win today." ;)

J McGraw said that the RU lines dominated on both sides of the ball.  IMHO, I think he gives a more unbias accessment than yourself.  Don't get me wrong; I have no poroblem with bias towards anyone's team-- that's why were fans!!!  I wasn't trying to knock Cortland, rather, warning Kean fans they were playing a "slightly" better team than your boys!!

By the way, didn't your boys do most of their damage after Orihel went out of the game.  And why in the HE!! ;D did you break our QB hand, man!! >:( ;D

Why would you be looking for RU next year.  I guess you want to go 4 straight.

If you're being a fan, yes the game was even.  If you being a realist, RU dominated the game until Orihel went out.

The punt block TD was evened out by the INT TD on the poorly thrown ball by the backup QB.  What's that mean anyway.

You must have been watching a different game than I was.

Alas, it apears that thee has drunk too much of thy namesake.

Be careful who thy claims to "smite hard" my timorous young serf as thee may wind up being the "smite - ee".

You're not dealing with Husson, Mount Ida or Becker over  here. 8)

After a nice win or as Stalker says a monkey stomp like last night, I thought there would be a few Montclair fans comming out of the woodwork. I guess not.  >:(

Not a bad effort yesterday.  Should have been more along the lines of 49-7 or 49-14.  A few too many unforced errors.  That little #16 for Kean is really fast on that end around.  Lot of misdirection from Kean, I guess that is their new offense.

Joe Rankin did a good job.  He kinda of reminds me a little of Alex Smith from Cortland.  Rankin is elusive in the pocket, but with more of a propensity to look for a receiver rather than run.  Rankin also has a better arm than Smith.  First time I've seen Rankin in extended action but that is my opinion. He's a solid backup.

As for next week, the Profs must cut down on the errors.  Rowan cannot give Brockport the short field scoring opportunities that the Profs gave Kean.   Profs could be in the drivers seat if they win out.  Home field till the Stagg, as long as they keep winning.  Playoffs start now, these last three games are huge.

JT

Dan,

If Cortland wins out, they should get a C bid in my opinion.  Especially if Rowan survives the rest of the regular season.

tecmobowler

There might be too many one loss teams for that to happen.  Would you take a two loss Cortland over a one-loss John Carroll or Union?
