I'm sitting here and reading about the changes in conferences and I start to think, how long will it be for the NJAC to lose it's AQ. We now have (9) teams and next year we will lose W.Conn and B-Port bringing us down to (7) starting the 2013 Season. My guess and I think it is logical for Cortland or Morrisville to join the E-8 or both. Travel wise, it makes sense. Thoughts?
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

If dlip is being honest he would like to see the E8 take Cortland. He thinks the more that conference can "beef" itself up, the more respect it may get nationally. However, he does enjoy the strength of the NJAC as it currently is and thinks having three pretty decent East region conferences is a good thing. Now if you could replace a Cortland with a Wesley, that would be nice. As long as the conference keeps enough teams for the AQ. Dlip has personally not heard anything about the Red Dragons jumping ship, and Mo'ville either. It would make sense though when talking about travel.

There could also be further expansion in schools fielding teams.  Alfred State is slated to begin provisional status in 2013-14 so they could be a candidate for either the NJAC or the E8.  However, that would bring the SUNY schools up to 6 so there could be a push for SUNYAC to sponsor football.  That would blow up a few conferences as they are currently constructed.

I started to push for Wesley to come to the NJAC years ago and was told that it would never happen due to the NJAC having a 100 man roster limit. I also think that there is no limit for the E-8 and I am not suure about the LL. Then when we hit 7 teams that will mean 4 OC games. That has been tough in the past tp fill 10 games. It sure does make it interesting.

The travel would be crazy for Alferd State coming to the NJAC. Are you going to do the East Fan Poll? If so count me in.

Yeah, I think they'll probably opt to start out as an Independent, but the E8 seems like the best geographical fit.  Alfred is a little closer to Jersey than Brockport or Buffalo, but would still place them as a geographical outlier in the NJAC.  At that point, they might as well join the ECFC and hope to compete sooner.

Does anyone have the Lindy's D3 Pre-Season Rankings?

Once I saw that UW-W was ranked #3 after winning 45 straight games and finishing in the Top 2 for 7 straight seasons, I didn't even try to google it!   :o

Trying to get hold of USA Today and Lindy's Pre Season D3 Rankings. Most times not very accurate, but interesting before Pat's D3 Magazine comes out. I can't find Lindy's in the store or on line and can't find USA Today on line. Any help? Thanks.

Probably can't find it because of the fact bleedpurple mentioned;  U--Dub Dub #3...****ing really??? How can that poll be taken seriously? Dlip wouldn't take it seriously if Drew Barrymore were sliding down it; and dlip loves him some Barrymore!

One of the guys I coach with in HS in NJ brought it in today and they have Widener at #6 as well, is that far fetched too?

Pep saw Lindy's in Wegmans a couple weeks ago....saw they had Whitewater at #3, read the D3 story and placed it back on the rack. Pep will pay for this site's Kickoff 2013 'cause that's how Pep rolls.

Pep was "recruiting" at the Gorham Pageant of Bands earlier this summer. Saw a lot of folks from Dundee. Pep's opening line, when approaching pep band prospects from Dundee was, "Do you know Mike Raplee?" Pep may have landed a biology major from there who plays flute. But Pep won't know for sure until "Signing Day."  ;)
