After noticing the front page of D3Football, I think that Rowan / Kean hurt their chances for an at large bid to the NCAA'S by having the game cancelled. I do not know what the conditions were at each sight. What is everyones thoughts?

I think the committee is not going to hold that against them, I believe that they are going to look at it either as if the game never existed or the team favored would have won the game if it was played. Due to the circumstances I wouldn't argue if they looked at it as a win for the teams that were favored. However, if Rowan makes the playoffs, it may effect their seeding.

My thoughts is that not playing would hurt their SOS. A win over Kean would have been a positive. Now we will never know.

1. Not playing Kean hurts/doesn't help Rowan's SOS.
2. If they beat TCNJ, it's not going to matter. Rowan will be a strong at-large candidate regardless.

Cortland (8-1) will host Framingham State (10-1) in the 1st round of the NCAA tournament.

And there it is.  The NCAA screws up again and takes two NEFC teams.  What a joke.

45-17 Cortland
The views expressed in the above post do not represent the views of St. John Fisher College, their athletic department, their coaching staff or their players. I am an over zealous antagonist that does not have any current connection to the institution I attended.

dlip concurrs, 2 NEFC teams is just ****ing brutal. dlip congratulates them both but at the same time hopes they get rolled like a ****ing Spicy Tuna Roll at a Sushi Bar.

wesleydad

well, wesley has to whoop mt ida and then play cortland.  really surprised by the brackets but at least cortland gets to win a game in the playoffs. ;)

Ha...Nice.  You don't give us much credit.  I was actually thinking we could handle both Framingham and Mt. Ida.

Jonny Utah

Maybe the upstate teams should be questioned for not scheduling any NEFC teams.  Why play UWW when Framingham State is a quick bus ride?

I hear the mind is the second thing to go. ;D

I'll be perfectly honest...we need to get by Framingham St. first.  We like to bust on the NEFC but Curry beat Ithaca in 2008 and Cortland offense hasn't exactly been firing on all cylinders.  The teams look similar statistically and NJAC was down this year.  I still think we are better than either NEFC conference but on any given day, you just don't know.  We have beaten three NEFC teams pretty handily in recent years, I think we can again.  Not sure we have the firepower to match up with Wesley but then again....
