That is one anemic Montclair offense!

I am trying to behave we suck. Today vs Cortland was so bad I left after the 3rd. It's all about recruiting. Coach G seemed to really be working hard, but who would want to come here.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Very surprising week in the conference.

Rowan vs Morrisville: I did not see this one coming. The Morrisville offense is very good. If the defense can play better they will have a chance to win the remaining games. Rowan just couldn't put anything together and now have to play Wesley (at home). Even with the loss they are still in the NJAC race.

Brockport vs WP: I give up trying to figure out the Brockport team. They win a game they should win but give up 34 points. Big game at home vs Cortland this upcoming weekend.

TCNJ vs Kean: TCNJ has to be a surpirse by most people. Kean offense is just as bad as MSU offense.

MSU vs Cortland: Cortland won the game easily after some 1st qtr fight from the Hawks. The offense once again was horrible. Punter fumbles a snap on the 1st drive and then qb throws an int on the next series.

The way Morrisville, Brockport and WP can score the Hawks will have a tough time winning them. The only game I see them maybe being a favorite in is the Kean game.

Upcoming week: Big showdown between TCNJ and Morrisville (who thought that would be said at the start of the season).

I think the NJAC is down to 1 bid now with Rowan losing. No way a 3 loss 2nd place NJAC team gets an atlarge.

Morrisville at TCNJ and Cortland at Brockport (rare 4PM start..some will be under the lights) are the 2 big conf games this week.

I can't see TCNJ scoring enough points to win..despite a very good D. Their offense is in Montclair/Kean awfulness territory.

Brockport should win at home based on their offense being the difference. Cortland is pretty average statistically and their pass D is really bad. The X factor is that Cortland seems to have Brockport's number..I don't think Bport has won since 2007.

Back when I was on the squad, we looked at Brockport as another game on the schedule. It was almost a let down as they usually followed IC on our schedule!....Probably why my class went 0-4 vs Port.  Anyway, one of our teammates transfered to Brockport and eventually told us that they looked at Cortland as a bitter rival. We had no idea. At the time Port may have had less than 10 wins in the entire series.  Almost 14 years later, I have no idea what the inside of this game looks like. I would bet its much more personal as we have fared better since my class graduated.

I am sure Coach Mac will have the Dragons as ready as they can be both physically and mentally!...Pulling for a Cortland win!

Well that would make sense as Brockport wanted to be where Cortland was already at (ie playoff caliber football). Brockport focused on Cortland as standing in there way of that goal..and being tired of local Cortland alums having no respect for Bport because C state had owned them. So while Cortland was always amped for Ithaca and not so much for Brockport..it was a much different feeling across the line of scrimmage. Brockport knew they had to beat Buff St/Ithaca and Cortland to be regional power.

Nice bounce back by Rowan.  Might've knocked Wesley out of a pool b for the first time in what, a decade?

I was thinking the same thing. Now I guess this was the Profs everyone was expecting last week against Morrisville State. I think the Profs might have been looking forward to this game...if they win out, could make it very interesting for At-Larges.

Congrads to Rowan for the win today.  You guys earned it.

Missed on the TCNJ game. But hot on the Bport beating Cortland game.

As predicted Brockport's passing game was too much for Cortland's suspect pass D. Backup QB drops 300 yards passing (he is 6'4" 195 though and a soph) and a school record 5 TD passes. C st could only muster 1 sack as well.  Bport qb threw 4 picks too and it didn't matter too much.  Cortland was +4 in turnovers and still couldn't win. Their offense looks pretty anemic against a not great defense. Barely over 100 yards passing and 3.3 yards a carry.  Brockport averaged 6 yards a play vs Cortlands paltry 3.4 yards a a play.
Brockport has lost their possibly best WR, their starting QB and starting RB to injury and didn't really miss a beat. They seem deeper in talent then C state...not sure whats going on with Cortland's recruiting.

Morrisville is a long trip on two lane roads to the middle of nowhere.

Maybe they should put that on their recruiting brochure!  ;D

Well looks like the NJAC is a 1 bid team this year. Best team to get a 1st round home game is Rowan (more than TCNJ ).

Brockport should take care of Kean. Kean offense is just as horrible as MSU's. (BPort 27- Kean 7)

Rowan vs WP: This game is a complete mystery to me. Which Rowan team shows up will be interesting (the one that beat Wesley or loss to Morrisville?)With WP at home it should be a close game. (Rowan 28- WP 21)

NJAC Game of the Week- Cortland vs TCNJ- (never would have predicted this at the start of the season). Cortland has played better competition but they are too unpredictable with consistent offense and defense in both games. A shootout favors Cortland which I think it will turn into with Cortland pulling away early in the 4th (CSU 35- TCNJ 21)

MSU vs Morrisville: MSU has a long trip to face an NJAC title contender (strange to say that). I can easily see Morrisville winning by 21 because the MSU O can't get out of their own way. (Morrisville 31- MSU 10)

Good post redhawks. Glad to read others opinions of the NJAC week to week.
Re The Bport Kean game...I agree with you.but I remember an 0-6 Brockport team beat a ranked Kean team 2 years ago at Brockport. Does that mean this years game will be even more a laugher for Brockport or was it an example of how the "bad team" can pull an upset in this series ?
