Always glad to help. This is a time of year that from a sports perspective, I don't like. College basketball is over. I don;t care about the NBA. I can't get into MLB this early when they play 162 games. NASCAR is good for Sunday naps, and the NFL draft can only be but so exciting.

So I surf D3football.com and opponents websites trying to get tidbits on the season that is months away. I play with numbers.....such as...CNU's opponents in 2015 went 54-53 in 2014. Half of their opponents won at least 7 games. The schedule is tough, the NJAC is tough, everyone will be stepping it up even more....

Pondering the chance of a first ever losing season.

It's all a lot of fun. Wesley has their 2015 roster posted (with Fr listed). Interesting.

Thanks. They didn't have it when I asked on March 30 and they didn't send this to us.

Haha....I will talk to that guy Francis.

No worries. Just letting you know why we still had eight.

CNU is adding a 23'x14' Videoboard to POMOCO stadium! Awesome!!

I figured it was incomplete at the time you asked. But a few days later they released it. I think there were final issues with game times. Notice only 1 night game at CNU this year. I think in the NJAC both teams have to agree to game times.....and with the travel, I don't blame teams for not wanting that 5 hr bus ride home after a 7pm game. Will suck for me and fans as the night game atmosphere is electric and tailgate experience at CNU isn't the same for 1pm games.

and CNU is on the road for both Salisbury and Wesley! and then add in a trip to Montclair St.

Yikes!!!

Yeah, that sounds pretty tough.

There will definitely be a smaller margin for error going forward if CNU wants to avoid a losing season for the first time....hopefully, it will raise their level of play and quality of athletes.

Given CNU's facilities, campus and much improved academic reputation, is there any reason why they shouldn't be winning more than they do?  Overall, their athletics program is extremely good, but I'd like to see the "big three" sports consistently better.  Am I being too demanding?

I think you answered your own question within your question. I think CNU  leveled out a few year's ago due to that academic reputation, they weren't getting the same amount talent as they were when they were a bit less lenient on what athlete was admitted. However, they have still have made the playoffs with less talent. I think it takes time for coaching to adjust to the type of players that suit the school both academically and athletically when standards are change. Nevertheless, CNU has had some big wins (i.e. Delaware Valley in 14 and HS-C in 13) over the past few year's

Last I heard there were actually two teams that were in the mix for Wesley's tenth game. That's all i know. No team names were mentioned.

This almost feels sac relig for me to be on this page. I was on the ACFC board from it's birth   many moons ago At least here we will get a little more chat and banter!! I know Rams will have something to say about  the games

Agreed. And if there is a guy who knows how to recruit it is Kelchner. He was one of the main recruiters at W&M. Not a bad school academically!  ;D

Are they D3 Teams? I finally got my wish with the NJAC as it currently sits. The NJAC got a bonus with CNU. Who was that crazy poster from Salisbury back in 2002 to 2004. He was really funny. Now let the fun begin. ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

I saw the poll on the d3football.com main page about AQ. Made me do some "thinin" out loud....any possibility of expanding the field of 32? Maybe to 36 and have a "first four" (would be 8) style weekend while 28 teams have a bye? What would that do to the schedule? Seems like a monumental undertaking. But there are about 250 teams now and more are added every year. Conferences are shifting every year. And/or have a rule that there will be no more bids given to Independents or conferences without an AQ? Seems harsh but if 245 schools can find a conference, then the 5 Independents should as well. In fact in 2014 there were 5 Independents. Wesley is now affiliated with the NJAC. Out of the other 4, only Alfred State has NEVER been in a conference but they just started up and can easily find a home. I'm not sure how many conferences there are that do not have an AQ. So, I will leave that up to someone else to discuss.

Just some thoughts.

I think the dude you're talking about originally posted as Muhammad Husainy, who was actually a very good player for the Gulls....he came back as Dr. Seagull.  I don't think I've ever seen more trash talking from anyone, but it was definitely fun!
