I need some help (in more ways than one!). I'm relatively new to this board and am trying to figure out which teams you guys support. Some are obvious with the school name as part of your ID. Who do y'all (I'm from the south) support? Knightstalker, Rams 1102, Bomber Jeff......everyone.

Thanks!!

Congrats to Ben.  Tough road for all involved.

Field needed to be re-done and they did a great job.  Will be nice winning the NJAC first year on the new field.

Are you sure?  ;D

They are just lucky NJCU doesn't have a football team.   ;D

Stalker,  Hope all is well with you and the Stalkerette. How old is she now ?

13, finishing up seventh grade next week.  Just finished up her rec softball season, she was a long jumper on the middle school track team, she is the starting center on her AAU basketball team.  She had the trumpet solo on It's a Wonderful World" with the chorus last week and played Taps at my VFW District 3 convention during our memorial service.  And she keeps making the principles honor roll every marking period.  I really can't complain about her at all.

Awesome stuff. Yet another example that the next generation is going to be more than ok!!!

She also really wants to get into the Naval Academy.  When asked where she wants to go to college she says Annapolis, but I guess West Point, Air Force or Coast Guard would be ok for second choices.

Is fun to watch them make their own way in the world. Today my oldest (26) closes on a house. My youngest (24) graduated from CNU with top GPA in her major (Econ) and is now living her dream as a professional dancer. That's a long story!!

You will often find me on this board, as the MAC board is often dead...I root for Widener and anyone that plays Rowan :)
...That being said, I have hung out with more than a few of the older Rowan posters (including one who was banned... ::)) over the years, and found them to be great guys...
Hopefully, I'll be able to see them week 1 this year.

I am a huge Montclair Fan. Besides the NJAC I check out most of the East Region. My daughter went to Wesley for a year and a half and then transferred to Montclair. I have always rooted for Wesley so for now I wish they lose 1 game and we both make it to the dance. Tailgated with Wesley Dad a few times and he is a good guy. Don't tell him I said that. ;D Made the trip to the sacrificial alter when we were sacrificed by Mont Union. Met a bunch of guys from the OAC board then and they were good guys. Also made a lot of friends with many Montclair former players and parents. Had post battles with the Rowan Crew in the mid 2000's. XGSC etc. All fun. We all have to go to work on Monday. Looking forward to everyone contributing. Should be a great year for the NJAC. Looks like we have a Pre-Season All American from Montclair at FS, Eric Gargiulo says Sporting News.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

All good stuff. I also met the banned Rowan guy and tailgated with Wesley Dad. I did the radio broadcast when we beat Rowan. I also attended 2007 Stagg Bowl and that year met a bunch of great guys from Bridgewater. Held "communion" with them a few times. Long story but will tell you about it if anyone is interested. I did a blog years ago on d3football.com. I forgot what it was about. Haha. I'm getting old

Did you come to Chester for CNU's first playoff game?

Rams
I was an honorary invitee of the Brown and Gold club (Ex Rowan players and family) for a couple of games as a guest of Dr. XGSC.  As salty as he was on the board, he is a nice guy...

When it comes to football NJCU has no team so I root for the NJAC as a whole.  Once basketball season starts Go Gothic Knights.

I did not. However, I was screaming and jumping up and down in my living room.

Don't take a lot of credence in the Magazine Polls for 2015, but here is what I noticed :

Sporting News Top 25 : #6 Wesley, #16 Hobart, #19 Fisher, #20 Rowan, #21 Widner and #25 MIT from the East.

Lindy's Top 20 : #8 Wesley, #15 St. Lawrence and #20 Fisher from the East.

Can't wait for the real D3 Football Poll to come out from Pat and Company. Any idea when?

Here are my Top 5 for the NJAC done quite a while ago for 2015 :

1. Wesley          10-0   9-0
2. Montclair         8-2   8-1
3. Salisbury         8-2   7-2
4. Rowan             7-3   7-2
5. CNU                7-3    6-3

I will do 1 through 10 Mid August, but what are everyone else's thoughts?  Should be interesting.  ;D

I'm not too familiar with Montclair, or even Rowan recently. But that looks about right to me. I predicted CNU would be 7-3 as well.  Wesley and SU are always tough. Gonna be a fun season.....if it ever starts!!!

A nine game schedule with an "exhibition" in the middle for Wesley. Yuck. Same story different year. Oh well.

Heres my early preview for Wesley. On offense, obviously Callahan is returning as well as Jamar Baynard. I don't see backup tailback Ben Martin on the roster, so looks like we are lacking a little depth there. Losing Koudossou (and Bundy) hurts too. Bryce Shade, Andrew Monaghan, and James Okike return. Not really any superstars there but Bryce Shade could step up as a playmaker. Robert Wiggs is listed as "INJ." Kyle George returns at tight end which definitely helps as far as receiving threats go. Tory Robinson proved a solid backup at TE as well. I think almost all of the O-linemen are returning this year as well, so beyond having to make up some ground at WR and some depth at tailback it shouldnt be too bad.

On the d-line, you lose Terrance Gavin and Aamir Petrose. But Roderick Caine, Dan Laguerre, Brenton Barnes, Dylan Cohill, and Isiah Ingram return. I'm kind of high on Ingram, who missed last season with a torn ACL. All the starting LBs are gone (Kapepula, Wescott and Maginnis). But hopefully Julian Jones and Ben Robinson can come in and take two of those spots. Brandon Bennett is a senior LB at 6'4" 242 lbs. It'd be nice if he could be able to contribute especially with his size. If I'm not mistaken, he played DE early in his career and transitioned to LB. In the secondary it looks like Andre Connally, Craig Pettit, and Leroy Cheatham are the only name I recognize on the roster at the moment. Leon Jones graduated. Zane Campbell is missing.

If the O line remains intact, that will be a boon for the offense.  If any squad has been the traditional linchpin at Wesley, it has been the offensive line.  They did play pretty well last season in comparison to the past.  I have little doubt in the depth that Wesley will show even with the losses of star players at key positions.  One thing I was really surprised was the lack of presence by Kyle George last year.  The year prior, he was killing the secondary with his size.  Last year, not so much.  I hope he returns to form this season.  I really hope we didn't lose Ben Martin.  When he was hot last year, he was burning it up.  He was a stupid-fast cut runner that really wowed me watching him at Menlo.  He would get a wide pitch, reach the sidelines and just burn it up the edge of the field.  Even the Menlo announcers were stunned at his speed.

It will be a historic year for sure.  I have never seen Wesley play in a conference with the talent that the NJAC has.  This should be interesting.
