Still 15-0 about 4 minutes left.  Brockport's offense sucks today/Rowan's defense was stellar...

ACMob

Karma to you!!  Thanks! 8)

And more to you bport!! ;)

Touchdown Rowan.  Encarnacion (hope that's right) runs it in from 2 yards out.  Extra point is good.

2 minutes to go, and Rowan is up 22-0.

And that will be your final.  The Profs pick up the shutout.

ACMob

Thanks Jeffbomb for the update!!

bport--  thanks for all the info.; I appreciated it!!

GOOD LUCK to BOTH of your squads!!!! :)

Montclair - 21               TCNJ - 14

Just back from TCNJ. Havn't been there in 2 years, and a lot more construction. It is a nice Campus. Had to park in the garage and to my surprise it was no charge and $2 to get in with my AARP. Did you hear that, MSU administrative powers to be. >:( Guy, it was nice to meet you and your fiance at the half.

Well as far as the game, I'll take the win. The D played wery well, and the O was sluggish and predictable to say the least. We ran McCoach and TCNJ keyed on him and nuturalized him. Did we adjust, NO. ??? The score was 14-0 at the half and it should have been easially 28-0. Time for a second half nap just like at Cortland. First series 3 and out, ball on our own 15, time to punt, bad snap, ball in end zone, our punter watches and lumbers after the ball, but TCNJ recovers for a TD. We then score and it's 21-7. TCNJ with the ball, a 40yard pass for a TD and it's 21-14. Under a minute left TCNJ on our 10 yard line, 4th down and we intercept, game over, NO, we fumble and TCNJ recovers. :( TCNJ tries again and this time we intercept in the end zone and don't fumble. Game over. :) It should never have been so close, but give lots of credit to the TCNJ Coach and his staff. The kids were well prepared and played the fundamentals reall well.

Well, we have 2 weeks to prepare for the Beast Of The East. Let's not make the same mistakes as we did against TCNJ and we may have a chance. Wouldn't it be nice to do the same thing we did in 2003? ;) Let the jousting begin.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Rowan's defense was very strong today, but not as strong as the wind that was steady for most of the game at 20+ mph. It made for a difficult kicking game. RU put a lot of pressure on the frosh QB from Port and it made a huge difference. I believe the D had 6 turnovers (5 INTs. 1 Fumble?). RUs O was pretty vanilla but it worked today.

Bring on the DEAD HAWKS!
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

Dr. xGSC,

Did you forget you have to visit Wayne, NJ next week? 6 turnovers by the D should result in more offensive production, I believe we had the same problem.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

The Profs dropped two sure TD's on deep passes, one by Sakeen and one by Silva. The football slipped right through their hands. As long as the defense keeps it up, and the offense converts more of their opportunities... things look good.

rowanlb92

JT,
I was surprised to see that you gave up on Lakelands Defense.

rowanlb92

I noticed that there were no defensive stats for brian Bond.
Is he injured?
If so, that would make it a much more impressive defensive effort without thier defensive leader in the line-up.

ACMob

Even Rankin made a big defensive stop today!!  :D

JT

Joe,

Brian is done... tore his ACL and MCL at Kean last week.

With Lakeland I was going on last year's stats and performance against common opponents with Aurora this year. I got burned taking Mass-Dartmouth, they stunk up the joint today.

rowanlb92

JT,
I would take Rowans defense next week.
It should look like this.
under 10 points
4sacks
3turnovers
Though it could be much better.

rowanlb92

I think losing Bond is almost as bad as losing Orihel.
IMHO the defense is the glue to this Rowan team.
but this is coming from an old linebacker ;)
