Since Wesley is off week 1 does that mean they do not report until next week?

The answer to your question is...it depends ;)  When is Wesley's first day of school? This is a very important date that needs to be accounted for (in addition to the date of the first contest). Once school starts, each day counts as "one" practice opportunity....

August 24th.....

What's going on NJAC, had to start a new name bc I forgot my password and deactived the old email years ago...That said, stopped by MSU the other day, miss it!! Team's looking good, should be one hell of a year!!

Congrats to C.J, I know he will add great depth to the DB positions and hopefully he can work his way into starting someday.

How have you been my friend? Hope all is well. Always a secret with the NJAC and what goes on with the teams. From the D3 magazine they have us finishing 2nd in the NJAC at 8-2, 7-2. Then the experts pick Rowan and Salisbury maybe getting to the dance as  a Pool C, then another group has Pool C's with only 1 loss. A while back I had Montclair as 8-2, 8-1. If we get by Del Val then maybe 9-1, 8-1.  ;D Time will tell. That's why we play the games. Be well and see you soon.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Interesting stuff so far in Kickoff. Wesley predicted to finish at 9-1, which isnt all that shocking considering they have not gone undefeated since 2010 in the regular season, but it is interesting in that they are predicted to drop a conference game. I wonder against who that would be. Or perhaps it could be just anyone over the course of the season. Another interesting thing: Some Josh guy predicted Wesley to miss out on the playoffs entirely with Rowan representing the NJAC. :o

Wesley has some size on the o-line this year. Hopefully that is an advantage that will come to light as the season progresses. Last year, especially against Hobart and Mount, Callahan was running for his life. Overall, I feel that there are a lot of questions that need to be answered in regards to the 2015 Wolverines. In part because of the whomping in Alliance last year. Just how good are these guys going to be? In terms of the offense, I think they just need to find a gamechanger. Someone or something that they can depend on game in and game out to contend and win. I keep thinking back to 2011 when McSweeny was that gamechanger. He brought some element to the team that I do not think we have seen matched since for the Wolverines. Perhaps that was a rare instance but I think everyone knew, especially during that playoff, that Wesley was never out. Thoughts?

Well, I really think Callahan has the legs to effectively run the ball when he feels he needs to.  They came in handy last year.  Each year, he use his legs more and more.  If the O-line steps up this year, it could be McSweeny Mk II. It will be interesting spotting new talent this year with all of the unknowns.  Last year was Wesley's best shot (or at least we thought) in several years that could have broken Wesley into the finals.  I will forever scratch my head on what happened that day.  I know on the sidelines, I was dumbfounded and really sad for the coaches and team.  Waterboy was there with me......  I have been to Mount Union with Wesley every time they went and while Wesley was always the underdog, the first two games were competitive at least into the second half.  Last year....well, I just don't know.  With the unknowns, I think we can effectively shake off last year with new faces on the field.  The relative lack of experience will be a challenge, although I expect some serious gameplay from players stepping it up to get those starting positions.  I have seen some amazing fieldwork in the past from that kind of motivation.  I also expect the usual mistakes and hopefully not too many penalties.....

You will find out that the NJAC is no walk in the park, especially with the new alignment. Should Wesley win the NJAC, the answer is yes, but you have 5 good teams that you are playing then if you fall asleep Frostburg, Kean, TCNJ and WillyP may make you lose your mind. I remembered the year we beat you guys in Dover and then we crapped our pants at TCNJ. Gotta love the NJAC. I hope we can make it as a Pool C.

Trust me, The Waterboy and I know how good the NJAC is.  It isn't too hard to forget that just about all regular season losses suffered by Wesley since 2006 by a DIII team has been to an NJAC team!  They are Monclair State, Rowan and Kean. This is off the top of my head.

UMHB has rolled Kean each time they have played, and Wesley has always played UMHB well if they didn't win, so I think Wesley should have no problem beating them or any of the other middle tier teams like Kean.
Watch out for the wreckingCRU defense!!

Youre right Ski. Since 2005, outside of UWW, Mount and UMHB, Wesley has only been defeated by Brockport State, Del Val, Kean, Montclair and Rowan.

I was not really calling the NJAC a walk in the park compared to Wesley. I was more curious to see who they picked Wesley to be beaten by.

I think it wasnt so much that McSweeny ran the ball, but in that he was a rare breed of QB entirely (laying blocks and craving contact) and that in itself energized the rest of the team when it seemed like there was nothing left. Maybe I was spoiled watching him play, but there's something there that gave the 2011 team that "it factor." Not saying that Callahan does not possess that "it factor," or is not mobile enough, but I think they just need a little something to push them just a little bit farther and make teams worry just a little bit more. Maybe that will become evident if the o-line steps it up like you said. Also, I agree that the embarrassment against Mount will be shaken off.

I dont know about the last time Wesley and MHB matched up lol. That was a bad day to be a Wesley fan, but great for a Cru fan (2013), but I agree in that I do not see Wesley falling asleep against teams in the middle of the pack like Kean, Frostburg or TCNJ. While Wesley has fallen against teams near the top of the NJAC, not falling asleep vs these teams has distinguished them (along with teams like Linfield and UMHB and others) from the best of the rest.
