@d3jason

The press box got at bandwidth upgrade and some cosmetic improvements are in process. Think it was in the works.

Well Wesley played its first ever game on a Monday AND it broadcast its very first video feed ever during the regular season.  I talked with the IT folks and it looks like Wesley will have a video feed from now on if everything works out as they think it will.  So a bit of history was made today!  Nice weather for the game as well with the sun out for most of the game.

I still can't get over Salisbury and TCNJ cancelling their game.  I think it could hurt Salisbury at the end of the year if they try to nab a C pool spot and didn't because they lost out on a possibility victory this week.

Was it just some griping by a few people on the D3 Board complaining about a team with the cache of Wesley not having Live Video and Audio.............or was this in the works the whole time? :)
I think it may have been in the works the whole time, but if it was the first scenario, I wish it had happened sooner ;) In any case the video feed they did put together worked very well (still some kinks to work out with the audio when the PA announcer is speaking).

Stinks to hear that Julian Jones and Derek Lauria are out for the season. Jones got hurt on the last play of the NCC game (the final kickoff), so it particularly stinks to see him go out like that.

Was thinking the same thing, there used to be some good banter from Rowan along with my Montclair peeps...

For the posters who have been around for a long time, what happened to the diehard Rowan posters from the past?

I forget many of their handles but there used to be a handful of them who were pretty consistent on the board. Any ideas?

I still keep in touch now and then with JT.  He is alive and well, and still not allowed back after his political rantings...
Dr. XGSC and I hung out at a couple WU rowan games, but I have not been to the last 2 due to schedule conflicts, but if anyone wants to see him, I'm sure he is still holding court at the Rowan Brown and Gold club tailgates...
Many of the others that were posting we LL regulars...

Yeah I saw that and chuckled.  The video feed was in work well before the complaints.  Talking with the IT folks, the reason Wesley didn't have a video feed was that there was no wireless capability at the press box.  The lag would have been prohibitive.  They very recently buried an optical fiber line to the box that made the video possible.  I'm thrilled that people will be able to see Wesley in action at home if everything works out.

It was a very last-minute thing -- the SID got a call Sunday morning and was tasked with putting this together. Many kudos!

Well, if WDEL has no problem with their audio being piped through the video link, I think it would be a win/win situation.  I hope that this will be the case as I think the WDEL team is the best in the business.

I noticed that the Rowan/CNU game has the Play of The Week!. Not the one I like watching. Haha! Also in that game there was another messed up PAT by the Profs that CNU returned 98 yards for 2 points. I'm surprised that one wasn't nominated as well. Here is the link to CNU Sports. It is the first video in the middle of the page.

I also (unofficially) nominate the play at the 1:39 mark of the CNU highlight clip. #19 Sese Wolters destroys the blocker and then makes a tackle. The PAT return is the next play in the clip.

Football is fun! Even at 1-3.

Surprised, too -- as you can see we got 28 nominations because we sent all the schools a reminder. :)

I'm sure it is difficult to narrow that down with all the input you guys get. Great job by you and your crew!

Interesting discussion on the North Region Fan Poll board about the quality of NCC, but as Wesley is in the East it may be better if the topic was placed here. Related to Wesley: how good does that make them? At what point will it get difficult for them?

@d3jason

I think there are probably in the right place as far as top 25. Wabash guys seem to think not elite. But nobody is really elite in DIII but UWW and UMU, if that's their definition. They're still in that next tier with Linfield and UMHB most likely. Bash Guys beat Wittenberg so they're feeling a little chesty. :)

Old history I know, but here is the Cardinal Report from NCC covering the Wesley game:
