Very nice. I'm hoping you guys win, but that it stays competitive ( ~two score game). It probably won't happen though, I think the spread will be rather large.

Wesley v Rowan.  Not sure how close the game is going to be.  I saw Rowan week one against Widener and they were not overly impressive.  The offense is 1 dimensional with Marcellin.  The QB struggled throwing the ball.  The defense is good and will give Wesley some trouble.  I did not see much change when I watched the Salisbury game, same run offense, poor passing.  Wesley will score, Rowan may not score much.  Remember, last year when these teams played Rowan did not have a first down until mid way 3rd quarter.  Another team that cant take advantage of Wesley's weak point, pass coverage.  I expect Wesley to win by 20 or so.  Nice day for a game.

I'm with you wesleydad. I've got Wesley 34-7.

Wesley's real season starts in the national quarterfinals.......on the way to the national semifinals.......

Salisbury's first drive was awful. Couldn't move the ball, almost threw an interception, and then a bad snap on the punt puts Kean within ten yards of a touchdown.

Then Kean goes 4-and-out. They couldn't convert on 4th down. Kean messed up coming out of that situation with no points.

Seeing some questionable calls by the refs.

Wesley looking in the backfield to much...Rowan 9 Wesley 7.

After a very odd start, where both teams looked like they'd rather be in bed, Salisbury is dominating in all facets. They are up 14-0.

Rowan is throwing the ball?  :o

Salisbury was dominating, but then got complacent and sloppy. Still won 45-33.

The kids from DelVal happened and I think that threw them off kilter out of the box. I'm buddies with the father of a kid who plays at Montclair and transferred from DelVal. They didn't think there was a chance in heck that they would lose to DelVal in the opener and had revenge from last year. The kid said it stunned them big time and took a while to shake.

Now that was a game!  I can't recall the last time that a team gave up two safeties!  Wesley was able to do that today.  Man, Rowan played tough.  Wesley miscues kept them in the game right up to the end.  The Wesley defense got burned on several long throws and that, along with some good running plays kept things interesting.  The game was topsy turvy to say the least.  Wesley would cough up the ball and then Rowan would do the same.  Callahan would throw a tipped interception and on the next series, Rowan would do the same.  If Rowan hadn't shot itself in the foot, they could have pulled off the upset.  That time came when they had the ball with 5 minutes left after Wesley turned the ball over on downs.  Their running back cut through the line and was moving right down the sidelines when a Wesley defender stripped the ball. Stunning.  Wesley escaped this one unlike similar performances in the past against Montclair State, Rowan and Kean.  Gotta give them that!

The NJAC Championship is in two weeks.  Wesley will need the time to regroup with Montclair State next week.  THAT will be one humdinger!

I see you are still lurking. First things first. How is the family? I hope well. I'm going on vacation to Disney. Just the bride and I. A day of golf at lake Buena Vista, residence at the Polynesian and enjoy for a week. I have not done this in 20 years. I'm sending the kids and the granddaughter next year.

Down to football. We suck. We play to our opponents. Had a chance to beat Del Val with a ****ty performance, could have beat Rowan at the end but did not and **** our pants today and gave up in the second half of the Salisbury game. I was there. My wife is breaking my stones about Halloween and I will probably have more fun handing out candy than receiving a double Monkey stomping by Wesley. The NJAC is weird this year.

Be well my friend.  ;)
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

We're sitting through a monsoon down here in Houston, so I watched some of the game and I couldn't resist. It's tough getting too excited about good 'ol TCNJ when A) The current administration doesn't give a rat's ass about athletics and B) I go to watch The Woodlands High School football game and there's 10,000 people there. Texas H.S. football ... nothin' like it!

Family is well, both girls still playing softball. Oldest is a Soph. pitcher in H.S., and the youngest is playing all over the country ... at age 10. We had a stretch last summer where we drove 10 hours to Branson, MO. for a week at the USSSA National Championships (which she won), had two days home before driving to Austin, TX for the IFA/VTD 10U Southwest Nationals (3rd place), and then caught a 6 AM flight to Los Angeles to play for an older team at the PGF Nationals (7th place and televised on Fox West). Also made trips to Oklahoma and Alabama. Team she's playing on this season won PGF Nationals last year. We sat watching the finals (along with the Notre Dame and U. of Georgia coaches), and she leaned over to me and said, "Next year I want this to be me". Currently she's batting .700 and her team is 27-3 against national competition, so hopefully by next summer I can tell you to tune into watch her!

Enjoy Disney ... tho' at my advanced age I think I'd go just for the golf first and check out Bay Hill for a chance to see Arnie!
