Really impressed with Wesley's offense today.  Man, Callahan and crew are really turning it on!  Jamar Baynard was a beast on the field, both in the air and on the ground.  Kyle George is really stepping it up as well.  I wish I could say the same for the defense............

Win #100!!!  Fourth team in D3 history to get 100 wins in 15 years!!!

Big time congrads to CNU!  You guys pulled it off.  I'm impressed and thankful!

loss for Salisbury means nothing.  If they beat Wesley they win the NJAC since they would win the h2h with both Wesley and Rowan.

Can you explain?  The fact that Wesley beat CNU and CNU beat Salisbury, wouldn't that give the season to Wesley if they lose against Salisbury and win their last game?

If SU wins next week they have the potential to finish with 1 conference loss. If Wesley wins out except for SU game, they finish with 1 conference loss. SU wins head to head. I thought about this during the CNU game today. It really doesn't change the importance of the game next week between WC and SU. At least that's how I see it.  I could be wrong.

Wesley should just win next week that way there is no doubt!  ;D

I don't know. This goes back to teamski's question, that I couldn't find the actual answer to. What about the half game Salisbury loses for not playing? Both Wesley and Salisbury would have 1 loss but Salisbury would have one less win.

Is this question just not relevant?

the 1 less win is interesting.  i would think the league would go with losses to figure out who wins the league due to the canceled game. not really fair to Salisbury to go by win totals.  the games between Wesley, Rowan, and Salisbury would be the only ones that matter in a tiebreaker.  Salisbury would have won both.  that is at least how I see it.

I think I would agree with you. But with the NCAA I never can tell. Buuuut, I don't see Wesley getting tripped up by Salisbury (although who knows after MHB went down today)

I believe the NCAA leaves it up to the conferences to decide the tie breaker. As far as last week, it appears CNU took a book out of Kean's second half and just continued to throw on that Secondary of Salisbury, they are not good. I think Wesley wins big after watching Salisbury two weeks ago and the 1st half of the CNU game. Congrats to CNU for taking advantage of that weakness and playing two halves. Salisbury may not win their next two games.

wesleydad

things may be a changing around D3.  UWW and UMHB losing in season is very rare.  Both will be on the road come playoff time.  Wesley needs to finish things up next week, after today how does Salisbury keep them under 50?  Very interesting stuff could shake out.  I think Wesley will be the third 1 seed and may end up traveling to Linfield if all plays out.  The south winner will likely have to go to Mount this time.  Maybe a little upset by Oshkosh and Wesley hosts semi.  Maybe UWW gets put in bracket with Mount and it really gets fun.  I just hope it does not line up as usual and with the results so far this year it should not.  This years playoffs could be really fun.  Need to start storing up husband points if I want to think about a flight to Oregon.

I am still missing what the tie breaker is here?  Both teams beat Rowan.  Wesley gets advantage from point differentiation.  CNU beats Salisbury, Wesley beat CNU.  If Wesley loses, how does Salisbury get the title?

simple, the other games do not matter.  Salisbury beats both teams in a 3 way tie, they win.  CNU does not make a difference.  They are not in the tie.  points do not matter if 1 team wins both games.

wesleydad

disregard all previous posts by me.  for some reason I thought Rowan only had 1 loss in NJAC.  No matter, Salisbury wins they win the league with h2h over Wesley.  Both with 1 loss. Not sure how canceled game plays out.  not likely to matter, usually h2h wins it.

Teamski

OK, I got it.   ;)  Wesley needs to win.

yea, win and in.  my concern is how many rushing yards the defense is giving up.  way too many and then to take on Salisbury.  I know Wesley knows how to shut down the triple option as they have won like 9 in a row, but do they have the players to pull it off this year?  This could end up being a shoot out which is never good to be in because you allow crazy things to happen like the Rowan game and all of a sudden you have to battle to win a game that you should not have to.  After watching the gulls/cnu game yesterday Wesley will score plenty if they do not turn the ball over.  I expect a win and possibly an easy one if the gulls turn the ball over, but dont want to be in a battle with a team you are clearly better than.  The east is a mess and will be interested to see the regional rankings when they come out.

Yeah, if there is anything Wesley should be able to do is to match TD for TD!  That is the saving grace this season. If Salisbury sticks with their run (and doesn't slip in a passing scheme that fools the Wesley corners focused on the run) Wesley should be able to check the run with the help of the secondary.  They would help plug holes.  It will be one hell of an interesting game nonetheless!  I expect a TON of people to be there from both schools.  This is for all of the beans. The loser has to hope for a Pool C and I certainly don't want that to be the case for Wesley!
