At least it didn't go to Mount Union.  They have enough hardware.  :P Congrats.

Morrisville State is picking up one, possibly two, new assistant coaches from Norwich, NY.

John Pluta, head coach of the Norwich Purple Tornado is a sure thing.  There's also the possibility of MS picking up Mickey James, who is a much-loved former Norwich Cyclones (Pop Warner) coach and high school coach.  Now some of you may think that coaching Pop Warner is a joke, but Mickey James led the Cyclones to bowl games.  There's not a football player from Norwich who doesn't worship the ground he walks on.  A truly inspirational leader.  The only reason that he has never gone higher than assistant coaching high school is that he never wanted to move away from home.

The Rev respects Coach Pluta for his coaching ability and what he did for the NHS football program (i.e turned the Purple Tornado into a perennial contender).  The Rev still LOVES Coach James 25 years later.  If the players at Morrisville have half a clue, they will come to love and respect coaches Pluta and James.  The Rev thinks Morrisville State will see some better seasons in the near future.

It is a sad day for Rowan Football as one of our own, Joseph Low ('93) passed away from a heart attack on 2/7/09. Joe was 39 years old, married and a father of 4 young children. He was an outstanding football player (linebacker), a quality person and an integral part of the Brown & Gold Gridiron Club. He will be greatly missed. Please keep his family in your prayers.
LONG LIVE THE BORO!

If you do ANYTHING, give it your EVERYTHING!

I remember watching Low play a couple of times, he was good.  His family are in our prayers, RIP Joe.

Very sad news. He was a great guy.  If the B&G sets up a scholarship fund or something for the kids keep us posted.

God Bless and watch over his family. My dad passed away on the same day in 1989 at 63 years old.

Former Giant great Brad Van Pelt passed away.

One of the best linebacking crews ever, Carson, Kelly, Taylor and Van Pelt.

Great Giant but they got even better with LT, Gary Reasons, Pepper Johnson, and Carl Banks.  He will be missed though.

Anyone know the NJAC schedule for 2009 yet? I know a few schools like Rowan and Kean posted thier 2009 schedules, but I can't find a full official conference schedule anywhere.

Hi Everyone And Happy Easter / Passover To All  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think everyones schedule is posted with the exception of Willy P and TCNJ.

Does anyone have any info on recruits, especialy with Iona droping Football ?

We could sure use a mobile QB. I hope we are doing something about it this year. The Kean game is still bothering me. >:(

Interesting note in today's Syracuse Post-Standard. The Jets are looking to move their training camp to SUNY Cortland.

Cortland gets the bid to host the Jets summer camp!  I wonder how this will help the Dragons in the recruiting game.  They already have great facilities, now a pro team too.  I am sure that the Bills were of great assistance in SJF's rise to power over the past few years.  Maybe this will keep us at the level we were at last season!

Hey RAMS how are ya buddy. I know MSU finished up spring practice, I will tap my resources for any possibile recruits. From what I hear thru the grapevine, last years QB will be the go to guy for now. ooouch !!  Still has to show me some enormous improvement from last year before he gets my vote.
