Red Hawk Naion :

Time to end my silence. I was not excited about the Morrisville win. We should have won the game. This is no disrespect to Morrisville. As I figured, Fisher got the start and from a stat end looked good. I'm sure he had all day to sit in the pocket and throw. Put a little pressure on him and he falls apart. I'm sorry to say, but he is not a leader and it is only my opinion that he does not have the respect of his team. I guess Coach G. feels that he is the best we have and please O'conner get creatative. That being said, I still support the Red Hawks as I always have. It's just hard to hope for a shot at the playoffs when you probably will fall short at best. What would Sam Mills say about the happenings this year? I hope I have to eat these words after the Kean game.

Can't make the game today, my daughters Birthday.

B-Port is a tough well coached team. Special Olympics field is not an easy place to play. Pressure will be put on Fisher and let's see how he performes. This could be the place to turn everything around. I'd like to see it happen. Like I always say 110 - 60 and "Keep Pounding".

Let's  Go  Mighty  Red  Hawks  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Anyone know the final score of the MSU-Brockport game ???

MSU barely escaped Brockport, winning a shootout 41-39.

That's all I know, can't find stats anywhere yet, but that final score is not encouraging. A win is a win, but it you shouldn't need 40+ points to win a game.

Also around the NJAC:
Kean upsets Cortland State 24-10.
TCNJ crushed Morrisville State 67-34.
Buffalo State knocked off Western Connecticut 37-26.
Rowan defeated Willie P 28-13.

Man, what is it with Cortland keeping their QB's healthy? It seems like they have trouble with that almost every season?

1) Safe to say the NJAC is anyone's guess at this point.  Or is the explosive TCNJ offense, poor defense the IT team?

2) You can't win in the NJAC w/o a good QB.

3) If your bench is beginning to look like a battle field triage, you might be in trouble.

I watched live stats from the B-Port site. We had a (2) point lead and they came down and scored a TD with (55) seconds left. We got the ball and scored. Fisher did the job under pressure. A win is a win is a win. I'm guessing we gave up a lot do deep balls. Time to get better and come up with a big win over Willy P. Time will tell what the future brings. Was anybody there who could comment?
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

At least TCNJ has a proven QB and a backup (who almost beat Cortland last year). Best in the NJAC? The Lions have also been without an All-NJAC wideout and All-NJAC defensive lineman so far this year.

I still don't think they can make it through the league while giving up 30 points per game to the likes of Buffalo State, FDU and Morrisville ... although they are certainly entertaining. A school record 708 yards total offense last week and a school record 67 points this week. It's a heckuva lot different than when TCNJ was grinding it out and shortening the game by playing ball and clock control all those years.

And who is WR (freshman) TJ Pratt and where have the Profs been hiding him?  The guy separates, makes nice catches.  I gotta get to a game.  I would like to see these freshman prodigies stay in school. Kinloch and Pratt would make a nice for four year combo.  Good freshman WR's have been a tease lately.  Its like... who the hell is that and then bam.. gone and not in school next year  >:(

Oh boy....some concern in the Cortland camp.  Congrats to Kean today.  I expected we would have some offensive struggles but figured the defense would step up...not to be.  I agree with several posts here today...need a good qb.  I think Woodward has some tools and needs to develop.  He isn't Pitcher but doesn't need to be.  I think he will be able to manage the game.  We need a running game really bad.  Our young line seems capable and is actually playing pretty well but we have to be able to get two yards when we need two yards.  I thought the play call on 4th and 2 early in the fourth was really odd.  Cortland passes and the ball gets tipped and falls incomplete.  That was huge.  We get the first down and score +there, we are back in the game.  Not to be...

I'll tell ya...TCNJ offense scares me.  Who needs defense when you are averaging 50+ points a game.  NJAC is obviously wide open.  Cortland still in the mix but I wish I was more hopeful.  We have some work to do.  Good luck to all next week.

Tough loss today for Cortland...this is a young team that simply must work to get better if they want to be a factor in November.  Replacing Giuliano at RB was going to be a tall order, and the Pitcher injury was a tough break, but have confidence in their offensive talent, sometimes it takes a few games to get cranked up.  Look for the Dragons to bounce back and be in the hunt late in the season.

NJAC may well be decided on October 31st in Trenton....what happens if Cortland, TCNJ, and Rowan all have 1 loss?  Does anyone know the tiebreaker?  I know some conferences use the last team to go to the NCAA tournament as the tiebreaker...
