dlip- it is sure to be a BATTLE on Sat. vs. the Profs--but I think the Cougars will come out on top. It will definitely be a close game--your prediction is ridiculous....have you seen the Cougars play this season? If the don't make any stupid mistakes they will win hands down.

Dlip congratulates Kean on their big win today. Young Cougar, dlip has already cooked the crow and is eating it as we speak. dlip was way off on this one, great win for the Cougars!

I feel like NOSTRADAMUS again!
What was my prediction off by ... 1 point? (Kean 24 - Rowan 21)
Dlip, would you like your crow saute' or filet?
Maybe curry crow would be more to your liking Mr. Dlip!  :D

A touch of humility with a dash of thankfullness that your QB didn't give the game away with that INT with a minute left - would seem to be in order.

Back from Kean.  Good ballgame.  Blackberry stopped connecting to twitter in the second half.  Unable to tweet scoring after halftime.  Don't know if it was Verizon or the twitter software.

Both teams are fairly even.  Rowan was up 17-7 in the 4th.  Two first downs and its over, but Rowan couldn't close.

Kean QB is a great ball faker.

I think Wilczynski's success running on lesser opponents, hurt him today.  Too quick to run and Kean has speed on defense to match up.  Too much rolling out, and not enough passing in the middle of the field. After the interception with 1:49 left, I'd have taken few shots closer to the endzone.  The wind was really whipping, making a game winning FG difficult.  Had the distance, plenty of leg, but the winning FG was just wide.

I think both teams are a lower third top 25 in talent, with the potential to win at least one playoff game. Both defenses are fast, but will wear out against a team that has a good ball control offense. Kean vs. Montclair on 11/14 could be for the title.

congrats to Kean on defeating Rowan...don't see either of them in or close to top 25 status. I see the NJAC as having a down year and is surpassed by the MAC this year. Good luck the rest of the season...

YoungCougar

thanks Dlip... tough hard fought game today by both sides.
I love how everyone says the NJAC is down because Kean won.  If Rowan won Maagie - would it be a down year for the NJAC.  Remember - it was a 24-17 game with the ball on the 20 with less than 70 seconds left before the QB made a bad read and DVC picked it off for a pick 6.  One play away from OT.  Instead it lookd alot further off of a game with the score 31-17.
Down year?  Why because it's not Cortland or Rowan who is 7-0 in NJAC?
I'm sure Phil will have something to say.  Don't say RU should have made the FG in regualtion.  How about KU defense holding RU to 10 points in regulation?
Nice job today KU.
Good football game today...period!

NOt that dlip is jumping on a Kean band wagon here BUT he really believed the Profs were coming into their own and would handle anyone they faced in the NJAC for the remainder of 09. Obviously Rowan is a good football team but again, the Cougars earned the right, in dlip's mind, to feel very good about themselves after the W today. With the Profs up in the 4th and so close to being able to close it out, Kean battled and earned dlip's respect with this W. Congrats again and great support of and belief in the Cougars YC.

Nice backhanded complement. Kinda like saying the ACC is far superior to the Big East.

Young cougar,
I believe I was only pointing out that Rowan certainly had a huge opportunity to win in the final minute. Kean came up huge on defense and got the job done in OT. Rowan's QB had no time on the final drive in regulation as nobody on Kean was biting on the play action. BTW, superior job on Kean's video feed. TCNJ should take note and come out of the dark ages so some alums can get away from those damn live stats.

No need for a touch of humility when you have skilled athletes on defense that can overcome mistakes made throughout the game!
Phil I'am thankful for 1 thing & that's being able to dash  to watch the game live in order to discuss what happened on D3boards.com!

Montclair knocked off Western Connecticut 33-17, despite struggling mightily in  the first half. Western Conn. was in the game until early in the 4th quarter.

Other than Fischer having a pretty good game despite the rainy and windy weather, it was much of the same story for Montclair.

What happens if Kean goes undefeated in conference, and Montclair drops 2 in a row to Kean and Rowan?  Obviously Kean gets the Pool A....but with Cortland, Rowan, and Montclair(potentially) all tied with 2 losses in second, is there a POOL C chance for one of them?  Are they all out of the POOL C loop?

The committe will probably screw up like last year and skip everyone and let 2 teams from the NEFC in again, with no second place teams from the NJAC, E8, LL, or MAC...awesome right?

In that scenario, Montclair will end up with three losses (loss to Wilkes plus losses to Kean and Rowan). Assuming you have Cortland running the table vs. Brockport and Ithaca in that scenario, you'd have Rowan and Cortland both at 8-2 and Montclair at 7-3. That could put Cortland as the best NJAC at-large possibility, in the NCAA Committee's eyes, based on its win vs. Rowan.

Of course, Pool C has everything to do with how the rest of the country shakes out as much as how the NJAC teams fare the next two weeks. In 2006, a 9-1 Cortland team didn't get a bid. In 2007, a 2-loss Ithaca team got in. I'm not familiar enough with how Pool C is shaping up nationally this year.

By saying Kean and Rowan are lower tier top 25 is not a slight at Albright or Del Val.  There are 8-9 spots in the lower third.  Next week will give an indication of strength vis a vis NJAC and the MAC, when Del Val plays Albright.

Del Val beat Kean 30-17
Del Val beat Lycoming 21-7

Rowan beat Lycoming 29-7
Rowan beat West Conn 72-14

Albright beat West Conn 48-7

I'd propose that the MAC and the NJAC are very similar in terms of tops and bottoms this year.

It's funny listening that Montclair will have (3) loses. We are definitely the worst 7-1 team in all of D3 Football but we have destiny in our hands. Beat Kean and we go to the dance. Fairy tales do come true. Let's take a trip to Glassboro and shake things up. ;)

Was at the game yesterday and Montclair was not to be found in the first half. It was ugly but we did pull it out. I have been knocking Fisher and have to say that he played well yesterday. Can he handle the prressure of Rowan, time will tell. ::) It should be an interseting game at the boro.

I also think that Albright and Bethel crack the Top 25.

The Del Val poster is a little cocky, but right now you have to give the edge to the MAC.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Well that team the committee let in, Curry, ended up beating Ithaca.
