rams1102, figured i would come over here and say hi again.  I saw that you responded to my post on the ohio board, but i figured better to come over here.  i talked to you a couple of weeks ago I think and we discussed my surprize with montclair since I saw them the first week of the season.  they were not impressive and as i said, if they have not improved since then they will struggle.  it sounds like they have improved from reading your comments so good luck with the game.  i road out last year to alliance for the semis and had a good time.  since you are arriving early i would also recommend a small bar on the edge of town that has an assortment of wing flavors, forget the name.  the venue is different then most places with as many mount fans sitting on the visitors side as visitor fans.  have fun and drive safe.

Thanks for the advise. Just got a little aroused. Your initial comment was correct, but it sort of came out of nowhere. Good luck to the Wolverines. ;)

wesleydad and rams1102,

The wing restaurant/bar in Alliance is called "Wing Warehouse".... and yes it was very good... the beers were wet but the "talent" wasn't very good in there... especially amongst the waitresses.  You remember this now, wesleydad?

Dude, you have to keep in mind it's Alliance Ohio.  Any legitimate talent that grows up in Ohio quickly leaves once they reach 18.

Or already has two kids   ;D

Or no kids and really dirty knees. ;D ;D

This is like when I make fun of Jersey.  There's love in those jokes.

Family is from Western PA.  Born at Ft. Bragg.  Moved a lot until about 6 yrs old.  Pretty much lived in NJ since then.  Although the taxes will eventually send me packing. There is actually a lot of country (farms, open space, parks) in NJ, and nice places.  The things that are easy make fun of, are just too in your face.

Visitors note: If you stay due south of campus or due west of campus, Alliance is a nice enough town. Wander north or east, not so much, in fact, not at all.

We do sell tickets on both sides to home fans and have for decades since for many years the only visiting fans were called parents. There are two full sections for visitors which should seat 700-800 fans. There were only 2300 total last week on both side and with the students gone for the weekend, probably less.

Party within reason in the parking lot to the west of the stadium and most Mount fans will be friendly. Every school has a few horses butts for fans, often we have more than enough (Frustrated Alliance High School fans who haven't seen much since Len Dawson graduated) ;)

don't let 70's fool you... they eat their young in Alliance if they are not deemed to have an ability to help MUC football out.

but there are a few worth hangin with the night before the game at WingWarehouse on the main road --4 or 5 blocks from campus.  skunks_sidekick, theaprof, hurfmuc, hscoach and skunks all have been known to roam there.  wesleydad and I spent an evening there with them last season.

Well said Fred. +K  It's just funny, I also got a feeling. Your post is what I feel. People think I'm crazy, but I'm leaving for Alliance tomorrow morning. Hope to see you there. As you stated, "Keep Pounding" Sam Mills

rams:  Travel safe.  If you get in town early enough, be sure to check the tailgate in the parking lot to the immediate west of the stadium.   All are welcome.  Even the enemy ;)

I find easily offended people rather offensive!
