I don't know the QB situation at Rowan.  They lost a lot of seniors.  Hard to put a number wins on 'em, and the other teams.  Right now, I think the NJAC is between Kean and Cortland.

Your logic is correct, Cortland and Kean have the most returning but you still have to play the games. With the NJAC being tight lipped we really won't know until the D3 Preview comes out. I saw a lot of toughness with Fisher in the Mount Union game and maybe it will carry over into this season + Jiminez is a good RB. The "D" took a hit and you still gotta have faith until we get wacked in conference, which my heart says it will not happen. The life of being a fan.  ;)

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED  HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posting this here in case any former players or coaches are reading and looking to do some broadcasting work. Plus, it's good news for Montclair fans, where audio coverage has been spotty in recent years.

From sshah1075@yahoo.com:
Subject:  Seeking Color Analyst for upcoming D3 football season...

QuoteHello All,

First and foremost this is a non-paying position. I will be calling between 5 and 7 Montclair State University football games http://www.montclair.edu/athletics/sports/football/index.html this coming 2010 season via an internet service. All the games will be played in the state of New Jersey (Northern New Jersey to be exact).

I am looking for someone who KNOWS the game and looking to break into the broadcasting industry. Preferably, someone who played college football but if you have played only high school football I'll consider that as well. I urge Coaches who are interested in this to contact me as well.**Obviously, you would make it easier on yourself if you live in New York or New Jersey.**

Once you agree to coming aboard I expect you to be fully prepared week-in and week-out. I will definitely help you with necessary material and communication will be vital.

Just for full disclosure, I am picking up the cost of the necessary equipment, the contract to stream the games and possibly wireless broadband for internet connectivity. If there are any advertisers\sponsors (which is doubtful) that revenue will go towards paying for broadcast.

Aside from giving you live game experience, I will give you copies of the game broadcast as well as audio editing software.

Thanks.

Nice to see what people think about the East. As a Montclair homer, you know where my vote was cast. My personal thoughts at the start was that Del Val should be #1, then Fisher, Alfred and Cortland lumped together, then Montclair and Ithaca. That's pretty much what the voters are saying. If Montclair can fix some of the loses on "D" things may get interesting. I'm surprised that Kean was not on the list.

There are some good games the first week :

Alfred - Widner
Del Val- Mules
Rowan -  Lycoming
B-Port - Fisher
Willy P - TCNJ
Wesley - CNN

This will be the first week for my Pick-E'm Contest along with Morris - Wick. I have my spreads, any thoughts from you guys?

I'm a little surprised that Kean wasn't in the poll.

I could only put eight in. Kinda felt like I had to put Curry on the list.

:D ;D

Yeah, I was wondering where the box to choose Mount Union as winner of the East.   ;)

And I wanted the Brockport option!  ;)

Anyway it's hard for me to decide which team on that poll I want to pick.  The east as always has me vexed.

That's cool.  I guess its hard to have three from the NJAC.

I sort of heard that Montclair was going to scrimage SUNY-Maritime and then I heard that Montclair cancelled the scrimage. Any word on that and if true who will we scrimage and when will it be? Tough finding out any information.  >:(

Usually it is the first Tuesday or Wednesday in August.  Another D3football.com correspondent covers the NJAC Media day now.  Try Google News and search for NJAC + football tomorrow or Thursday and you should find the NJAC Coaches Poll and maybe a little writeup in the Jersey papers.

I'm thinking of contacting Shah and volunteering my services that day.  Try my hand at color for the first time in a long time, but I can see you before the game.
