clandfan,

I'm pissed, I responded at lunch and got my post bumped, so here I go again.

I agree with TGP and who might make the playoffs. I looked at the conferences and the E8 is #1 followed by NJAC, MAC, LL and NEFC'S. This was based on the top (5) teams of each.  To be honest the NJAC has a weak bottom (5) but the percentages holds the same for everyone else. If all holds true I hope we get (2) to the dance. I hope the NJAC goes to (8) teams that will allow for (3) out of conference. I would like to see Montclair pick up Wesley, Del Val and a top E8. That will make the East better. We need to dial up the level of competition. The east will remain not as strong as the North, West and South until we do that. Good luck to everyone this weekend. The Kean / Rowan game will be interesting and I think the Fisher / Ithaca game will be closer then most think. Time will tell. ;)

Hey Pat, come on down to "Sam Mills Field" you are only (20) minutes away and the Montclair / TCNJ game starts at 3:00PM.  ;D

With 0:38 left, Rowan goes 80 yds in 0:36 on three plays to come from behind 21-17.  Kean had just scored a TD leaving 0:38 seconds left.

Profs are still in the hunt.  Big home game against Cortland.

Montclair - 30     TCNJ - 14

Not a great win for Montclair, but I will take the "W".  110-60 did not happen, more like 90-45. We have to do better against teams that we should win by 21+. This is not a knock on TCNJ but it is what it is. We have to play for 60 minutes and if Fisher can not find his secondary receiver we will not beat Cortland. There were receivers constantly open but were never looked at. We have time to improve that and let's Git-R-Done. We have to really want it.

It was 14-10 TCNJ going into the fourth quarter!?!?!

Not a good sign for the Montclair State College Indians after the pasting the Lions took at home against Cortland last week.

As I said we sucked, and could have scored more, but you are really grasping for straws. If we want to hopefully move thuough the NJAC, we need to get better. You guys won't have that opportunity this year. ;D

tough to compare common opponents:  field conditions, personnel, rivalry.  We could say that Buff St. beat WConn 71-3 and Cortland only beat them 45-0.  Is Buff. St. 26 pts better than C-State?  Whether Cortland beats NJ 37-0 or Montclair beats NJ 30-14 is of no consequence.  It will all play out soon enough.  For C-State, all they are looking at now is Rowan.

Dan P said it a few years ago,....and as a HS choach we see it all the time.  Once a game is beyond 3 or 4 scores, all comparisons can go out the window.  Morale, substitutions on both teams, and coaching philosophies all play into the discrepencies.

Some schools may leaves their 1's in to hang a feel good score late in the 4th.  Some may clear the bench when the game is out of reach, etc....Eventually it will all play out.
Taste It!

I was watching the web stream.  Got a quick out to the TE for about 11, bringing it to the 31.  Then a bomb to the Wr Marcus Lee to the 20 of Kean. Marcus was having trouble making catches, including a juggled TD opportunity earlier.  Kean had two safeties back, LB's back.  It looked like one safety went opposite to double the TE (who was having a good day) and then it looked like Lee split the CB and other safety for outside position... great ball by Hagerty, great catch by Lee.

At 0:12 Hagerty takes the snap and chased to his right, rolling right, rolling right... he looks back and floats a ball across his body to the RB on the left side of the endzone.  Very McNabb or Vick.

It was good day.

Congrats to CState on another shutout.  Yes I know it was against programs that are not considered to be powerhouses.  I am impressed regardless of the strength of the other teams.  It's not an easy task to keep any team scoreless so I tip my hat to the CState defense!  They had a nice goal line stand this week at the end of the 1st half.  They took two shots from the 2 yard line and both were stuffed.  You gotta love a good goal line stand.

Pitcher and the recievers seem to be in synch and Autera is just plain fun to watch.  Does anyone know the status of Sair?  Add him back into the mix would make the offense extremely potent, not that they are doing poorly now.

I know the team is taking it one week at a time as they should but I for one am looking forward to Oct 30th.  It's shaping up to be one helluva game which will be fun to watch.

High ankle sprains are tough to come back from but I wouldn't think it would be too much longer.  I don't think you can take autera out of that starting tailback job though.  Sair will spell him and give defenses a different look.

I didn't envision us being such a run oriented offense but you are right...teams should not underestimate Cortland's passing game.  Pitcher is completing 60% of his passes and can burn you.

I do think we need to get some other kids in the endzone though.  Almost all of our scoring has come from autera and giuliano which is fine until you lose someone.  Would like to think we have other guys with a nose for the goal line.

Defense is outstanding to date...what else can you say.
