Ok, so I convinced some of my alum to take a road trip to Cortland!!! Maybe we will run into some of our old foes, J.J Tutweiler hahah..

Let's go Redhawks, this is why you come to Montclair, to play in a game like this, play as a unit, fast and physical and show everyone why were are number 1 in the region!!!!

watch your knees these boys are dirty!!

What's up with the "Watch your knees" comment?

This is going to be a great game and one that hopefully fans and players from both sides will likely remember for many years to come.  As always, someone will have happy memories and others not so happy. Hoping CState is smiling at the end despite the playoff situation!

C-State Olineman are notorious for diving at the knees, especially when they get beat.  However, the last two times I've seen Cortland they've been less dirty than usual.

MSU Pride

Very true, they def used to take some knee shots!!

Look what I just found on youtube...

wesleydad

what surprised me is the comment about having to convince alumni to make the trip.  are you kidding me?  if it is that big of a game there should be no convincing needed.  i dont know how long the trip is but after making 8 plus hour drives to see games that had no baring on anything, how would you not go unless work or death got in the way.  i might have made the trip had wesley not been playing salisbury and i have no dog in the fight.  montclaire is tough, have never seen cortland so good luck to both teams.  i will certainly watch for the results as they may effect wesley should wesley win out.

Ok, you say so.  Good luck to both teams and may they all walk away injury free.

Cortland is the knee injury givers of o-lines in the NJAC, having asked around.

Who is this dude, any D3 experience?

I don't wanna bring up all this old stuff, but honestly Cortland was the dirtiest team I ever played against in my life. I am talking about preemptive high lows, 2004 they almost ended Nick Defalco's career with some designed cutback play, the backside tackle stayed in a two point stance as Nick squeezed down the line, when the RB cut back, he turned to redirect and the backside tackle who was behind him just put his helmet right into the back of his knee...That is the only time I saw Coach G lose it...

But the last two times I saw them, I really didn't see that kind of play, yes agreed may the best team win and God willing neither team has any injuries...

BTW who the hell is this guy on youtube hahah awful..

2004 is well beyond my experience with CState so I certainly defer to your experience.  I've been following them for the past 4 years and have seen nothing that would earn the current team a rep for being a dirty team.  I've gotten to know Coach Mac pretty well over the past few years and he has way too much respect for the game and opponents to condone anything like that. Coach G no doubt has the same respect so let's sit back and watch the battle unfold!  Been looking forward to this game for some time now and tomorrow will be the slowest day ever!

It is funny, I guess.... who is the dirtiest team. To a team... and I asked 'em all... Cortland.  I noticed certain things on the sidelines, for my own edification I started asking.

1) Cortland
2) Montclair
3) Kean
4) Rowan
