Let's forget all of this Poll stuff. Let's figure that Montclair, Cortland and Rowan win the balance NJAC games (Montclair with the toughest last games) therefore everyone is 8-1. Who will get the nod? Will the out of conference games play a part?

I'm really curious to see how they're going to figure it out if they all end up 9-1, based on previous posts no one really knows for sure...

I think it should be settled over a soap box derby race.

What will be fun is deciding how many get Pool C bids.  Unless there is a shortage of 9-1 Pool C candidates, which I doubt, I have a hard time believing that the NCAA will take 3 teams from one conference.  Possible, and I vaguely remember it happening once, but I doubt it.  Which means the NJAC gets one Pool C bid.  Guessing further into what the NCAA will do might be that they take the head-to-head winner of the game between the non-AQ teams.  Which means the team that beat the AQ sits home.

Three conference teams all 9-1 makes for some crazy scenarios.
I find easily offended people rather offensive!

Statistics are like bikinis; what they reveal is interesting, what they hide is essential.

Just make sure you're attending the race, also bring your favorite scarf and young relative so I can berate you in front of he/she/it...

It happened in the East with Hartwick getting the Pool A and SJF/IC both getting Pool C's...

Sounds splendid. Then I can go cry about it because you hurt my feelings. Praise to Jesus.

What you say is likely true, but seemingly irrelevant to the selection committee.  Now that they have abandoned 'pure' regional 'regions', I doubt we'll ever again see a #1 seed who is not undefeated.  And 2-loss pool C teams are definitely an endangered species (despite the fact that as recently as 2008, Wheaton got a surprise bid with 2 losses and proceeded to reach the national semi-finals).

Number of losses (0 for #1s, maximum of 1 for pool Cs) seems to trump virtually all other criteria.

Absolutely.  I very much expect to see all 10-0 teams in the #1 slots, and honestly it's hard to argue that they shouldn't get them.  I wouldn't be surprised to see the luck factor shift in future seasons however, with a few undefeated East teams at the top of the regional bracket.  If Montclair makes that FG, they're that team.  If Cortland holds the lead against Rowan and defeats IC, they are that team.  DV nearly did it to Wesley to be a #1.  Fisher is that team if Alfred doesn't play the game of their season against them.  We'll see a few East teams run the table in coming years.  I'm quite sure of it.

I miss the years when Rowan could go 7-2 and make it to the Stagg.  32 teams suck.  16 teams rule.  ;)

Pat does this Jedi mind trick on ESPN.  He screws over potential Pool C's teams who question his poll.  I won't tell you that he arches his left eyebrow and bam Montclair becomes Cortland.

Oh no, the cat's out of the bag. Sh*t... sorry Pat.

I am sorry but this is ridiculous...You still have yet to give me one valid reason why MSU has dropped from 13 in your polls to out of the top 25...

I am glad you are sorry, but I have given you reasons. I'm sorry you don't recognize them as valid but we've been doing this Top 25 thing for a while and I know how to read the tea leaves.

Voter confidence in Montclair has clearly been pretty soft, and now, potentially, you "have" to rank two NJAC teams above them. You either have to vote for three NJAC teams or pick and choose which side of the triangle you leave out. No-win situation for a voter to have three 1-loss teams who all split against each other and try to choose where to put them.

I'm sorry, I'm not sorry...Yes I am well aware of how long you have been at this d3football top 25 thing (thank you by the way)  I played LB for Montclair from 01-05 and now am just a fan. I simply don't agree with your rational, if I am biased so be it. This isn't sour grapes at all, I want to see the NJAC recognized as a powerful conference bc I believe they are. I still don't understand how you can have an MSU team ranked 13th Nationally and in less then 48 hours have them out of the top 25. I would have the same issue if it was any other team in our conference.

KS was thinking a battle Royale between the head coaches.

I'll put $100 on Accorsi.  Compact, quick, powerful, low center of gravity.  He gets low on the other two and jacks them up.  Then up to the top rope. Double flying elbow, covers both, and gets the dual pin.

Come on JT.  You know Giancola would sneak in that 60 sqft flag and start whipping people with it.

I heard Hacksaw Jim Duggan is a cousin of Accorsi.  Duggan tosses Accorsi the 2-by-4 to block flag, then Accorsi puts the wood to Giancola's solar plexus.

But we're talking soap box derby here, not driving the city bus with C.
