To be continued...Deadlines...

Quick question though, does anyone think it has any relevance whatsoever if MSU blanks B Port, Willy P and drops 40 on both of them...

Maybe not at this point but they should.  If they beat them 17-14, I'd say they probably aren't that good.  If they beat them both 55-3, then I'd probaby think twice about their playoff chances.

It could be important, since Brockport is a common opponent for Rowan, Montclair, Cortland and Fisher (as is Buffalo State).  Results vs. Common Opponents is one of the Primary Criteria for Pool C selection purposes -- so Montclair may be able to improve its at-large position should Cortland be off the board at that point.  Results means score as much as win and loss in that criterion.

No offense JT but I'm kinda hopin for a TCNJ upset over Rowan.  Would make this a whole lot easier.

Rams, on the other hand, is hoping Willy P finds a way to beat Cortland.

You, obviously would like to see Montclair lose.

If we all win out, I am hearing that the tie breaker would go to OOWP.  Is that your understanding as well?

Its cool. I was rooting for Cortland last week. I was even telling player parents how to beat Montclair in the parking lot after Cortland vs. Rowan.  I also told them I thought Cortland was better.  I didn't think it would come down to a missed FG.  I figured Cortland by 7.

I've looked at it, but I'll wait for the master D3 bracketologists like Gordon, Pat, and others to weigh in.

I didn't realize the NJAC tie breakers were that crazy.  Logically, I was thinking the team (Rowan), that beat the team (Cortland), that beat the team (Montclair) was huge... but apparently not so much.

And I always want to see Montclair lose... just going to their campus is depressing.  Except for Sam Mills every thing about Montclair is evil.
I always want to see Rowan lose, but I'm not as bad as you. ;D I offered you and your family food and drink in the Train Station, did not sick the dogs on you and only beat you guys by 19. I thought that was very hospitable ;) Good luck the rest of the year.

I'm joking.... however, the campus today is very inhospitable to the fans.  Its not as much fun as it used be.
Me too. ;D
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Cool.  I've been a little giddy and goofy the past couple of days.  When one works really hard on a project and it exceeds expectations... one celebrates a little.  I'm exhausted and can't wait for vacation over Thanksgiving.

I think Montclair, Cortland, and Rowan's performance show the strength of this league, not its weakness.  I don't know how its going to play out, but if there are three 9-1's they'll be a lot of nail biting on selection Sunday.

But Brockport is going to beat Montclair so Rowan will have the inside track... LOL

The point is none of us here get to see a lot of d3football games so part of what we go on are comparative scores.  Past experience tells me that when teams blowout other teams (55-0, 33-3, 70-17, 39-9, etc) they have an offense that can compete on a national scale.

This is absolutely true.

The Pythagorean Theorem (Points For - Points Against)^2 was first applied to baseball scoring by Bill James, who found the number produced was a far better indicator of future winning percentage than current won/lost record.  More recently, the same Pythagorean Theorem has been applied to football scoring as statistical studies of football have advanced.  A few seasons ago the Football Outsiders website found that the theorem produced the most reliable predictions of future winning in NFL and D1 College football games.

Teams which win championships tend to have very convincing victories along the road to Salem.
