The biggest problem I see next season is the loss of Crispo at NT.  I understand there are some good underclassmen who may be able to step in.  But without having seen them play, I'm worried there could be a huge hole in one of the most important defensive positions.  It's a bit much to recruit a freshman to start at NT...maybe we get lucky with a transfer?

Montclair's QB with three picks

And thus, Montclair's biggest weakness was exposed.

I was on the CDFL website....College Development Football League and saw Gus Orenstein's name listed with the d3 and d1aa senior classic games. Wasn't he the Rowan Qb from the mid to late 90's?

He was the Rowan QB. The footage of the D3 game in Salem is archived at www.knoxivi.com/d3classic. The North squad featured 4 players from the NJAC, Joe Lopez (Cortland), Leer Biddle(WPU), Nathan Bull and Sean Kearney (both from Brockport). Leer Biddle was named a captain of the North team.

Congratulations to Matt Hoffman from Rowan University as the NJAC Defensive Player of the year. Better yet, congratulations to him on his heroic procedure that saved a man's life. The story link is below.

The Montclair schedule is out for 2011. We open up with Salve Regina on Sept 10th. Cortland Oct 8th and the last (2) games Rowan and Kean. Any thoughts on Salve. All I know they score 16.9 and give-up 11.0. Are they a step above Westfield St?

I looked at who is returning for everyone and it appears that "on paper" Montclair should be favored to win the NJAC. Returning (17) and a senior QB. Cortland and Rowan lose their QB's and Kean w/ a senior QB. My thoughts as of this moment :

1.   Montclair
2.   Cortland
2.   Rowan
2.   Kean
5.   Willy P.
Then the balance of the NJAC. We all know anything can happen. Thoughts ??????

I'd venture a guess that Salve will be a tougher opponent than Westfield but I doubt MSU will have any trouble with them.  SR's HC came over from Hopkins (had a solid tourney run in 2009) and has a solid defense, but they still played tight games with the weakest teams in both the LL and E8.

I don't know Regina, but if she needs Salve she probably has something that is contagious and I would avoid her.
