I don't know Regina, but if she needs Salve she probably has something that is contagious and I would avoid her.

Good line. Hope all is well.

I'd venture a guess that Salve will be a tougher opponent than Westfield but I doubt MSU will have any trouble with them.  SR's HC came over from Hopkins (had a solid tourney run in 2009) and has a solid defense, but they still played tight games with the weakest teams in both the LL and E8.

Thanks !!!

The Montclair schedule is out for 2011. We open up with Salve Regina on Sept 10th. Cortland Oct 8th and the last (2) games Rowan and Kean. Any thoughts on Salve. All I know they score 16.9 and give-up 11.0. Are they a step above Westfield St?

I looked at who is returning for everyone and it appears that "on paper" Montclair should be favored to win the NJAC. Returning (17) and a senior QB. Cortland and Rowan lose their QB's and Kean w/ a senior QB. My thoughts as of this moment :

1.   Montclair
2.   Cortland
2.   Rowan
2.   Kean
5.   Willy P.
Then the balance of the NJAC. We all know anything can happen. Thoughts ??????

TCNJ returns 18 starters (9 offense & defense), including everyone at the skill positions and all on special teams. Too early to tell, but I would expect a pretty good improvement from 5-5.

Not positive, but believe Cortland qb will return .....Medical reprieve from two years ago?

Kory David, Cortland linebacker in the 1990s and two-time captain, has joined the Philadelphia Eagles coaching staff. Spent eight seasons on the Red Dragons' staff, then was assistant at Dickinson. Nice story

Last I looked you guys lost your LT, RT and C from the "O" line and a CB and a S from the "D". As I  said before the top (3) SB Montclair, Rowan & Cortland, but the NJAC is a crazy place to play and yes TCNJ should be better than 5-5. Time will tell how much better. ;D

Just noticed the Kean 2011 schedule. Very impressive, Wesley and Cortland out of the box. If they go 1-1 look out.

What do the bottom 3 (Brockport, Morrisville & Western) have to do to compete in the NJAC?

Join the Empire 8 and NEFC... I think the distance issues are plaguing the normally decent teams over the years, unfortunately.

rams1102

Your suggestion makes sense, my suggestion year aftter year makes sense (bring Wesley to the NJAC + a few others), but the 100 person roster limit is the killer which the NJAC is governed by. B-port and Morrisville SB in the E-8 and Buff St. moving to the E-8 nexyt year makes sense. W.Conn is iffy, but you could make a case for the NEFC. It's nice to talk some football which is great, but I don't see things changing. Our conference is pretty tough with Montclair, Cortland, Rowan, Kean, Willy P getting better and TCNJ is never a gimmie.

Just a point of clarification:  Cortland's QB is returning but they have a bunch of defensive holes to fill and they need to find a playmaker at WR.

Hi Clandfan,

I thought Pitcher was a Grad Assistant, guess he has another year oe elegability. Should be a fun year in the NJAC. One good thing, we don't have to go to up to you guys this year.  ;D Can't wait till the season starts. I have the first week of picks set. Added Del-Val vs Mules and Endic vs Fram. Gotta figure the spreads.

Most important, "Happy Birthday America" and may everyone have a safe and healthy Holiday.
