Seems as though Kean has hired former Rutgers and Seattle Seahawks QB Mike Teel as their QB coach.  Good luck to him.

It's beginning to look a lot like D3 Football. Pre-Season Top 25 is out and camps will soon be opening up. (3) NJAC teams in the Top 25. Now we have to walk the talk. Montclair (12), Cortland (13) and Rowan (22). Then to round off the East, Alfred at (18). If one of us runs the table we should have  a #1 seed in the East for the playoffs. It appears that the guys on the E8 board are touting Cortland. Only time will tell how this shakes out and it should be one heck of a ride. Good luck to everyone in 2011.

LET'S  GO  MIGHTY  RED HAWKS  !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Greg / Catchball,

Where are you guys? I know we are all busy, the Economy SUCKS, but we are ranked 12th in the pre-seaspn. Is camp going to open-up on the 22nd and when will the scrimage be played.? Do we have an opponent? You know I'm not in love with Fisher, but to be honest I think this will be his year. Just grab his balls and he will be OK, get creative with the "O" and you never know what will happen. I'm ready, see everyone at the Train Station for the 10th for the opener with Salve.

Camp opens on the 20th, I'll find out who we scrimmage. Not that I never liked Fisher, just didn't think of him as an overall leader when one was needed, hopefully he'll prove me wrong this year.  C ya soon !!

catchball,

Thanks for the up-date. Gotta be Fishers year. ;) Any news on recruits?

Cortland has started camp!  Ahhhh!  2009 wins vacated...that sucks for the kids but no one loses their individual stats and opponents records are not adjusted.  Someone upstairs did not do their job.  It's in the past and has no impact on this year.  Go Red Dragons!

In response to the "Vacated" wins.....I saw that the player transfered back to Cortland State.  Was he not enrolled? or is there a rule about transfering in consecutive semesters?  All I saw was something about transfer residency.

Can somebody who knows the meaning of the transfer residency violation explain.

This probably explains it well, in light of the current issue being discussed (I believe it is the same rule for football):

Frank,
Thanks for the link.  That certainly helps clarify the violation.

In hindsight......One would think the admissions dept. would/should have caught a low GPA and denied re admission(hold on the Cortland jokes) if that were the case.   If it were a minimum credit issue with a 2.0+ GPA.....I can see why admissions may not have noticed, but the athletic dept. shoud have.

Athletic Dept. clearly fumbled the ball. (pun intended)

Ok everyone, the NJAC Pick-E'ms for Week #1 are listed on the Pick-Em Board. I'm getting itchy for some D3 Football and since the Red Hawks open camp today, I figured it was time to start. I hope we can get a better turnout this year.

As usual a job well done. The recipe to end purple reign was awsome, beyond the top 25 also good. The capsules were good. Nice to see Keith picking Montclair coming out of the East. The NJAC should be another war this year. If we play 110-60 for 13 games it may happen. ;D
