JT,

Curious as to any reason you picked those two schools? lol. They seem like a random pair.

How close are you to the Varsity in Atlanta?  I'm craving a two Varsity dogs with chili and cheese, fries and a chocolate shake. All delivered by a car hop.  Classic... and totally delicious.

My hatred for cortland (and yes I purposely did not capitalize the "c" in cortland as a sign of disrespect) runs so deep that this past weekend I was down in AC for a bachelor party...I see a very pretty Italian girl sitting with her friends so I go talk to her for a little bit, the conversation is going very well until I asked her where she went to college. She said she graduated from Cortland, I said it was nice meeting you and walked away...

Can't wait for the 2011 Cortaca board to open...was thinking I should open my first post with simply "Ithaca sucks" but now that I know the ultimate sign of disrespect is to go lower case, it will be "ithaca sucks". That should get the Bomber fans, oh wait, the bomber fans, riled up.

Anyone have any insight into this:

I'll say this: as I've said in the past concerning Hobart, I really want to see much more proactivity from athletic directors nationally.  There's too much protection being sought from matters in which they could generally have prevented adverse scenarios if they had been more proactive in their own jobs.  However, it's always tough to tell just how much of a smokescreen had been put in place by coaches that might have prevented the ability of an AD to find the problems internally until the cover was blown.  Any thoughts are appreciated here.

That won't get us riled up RedDragonFan.  We realize that most Cortland grads won't know that proper nouns should be capitalized anyway so we probably won't pick something like that up.

Touché Jonny.  Something tells me that punctuation will be the least thing to worry about come Cortaca time.  Let me save you the typing.  Yes, a Cortland grad posted using a word from another language and figured out how to get the accent over the right letter.  I was at the top of my class!

I made several posts regarding this on the NJAC women's bball board. Since that article came out, you can find the content of the lawsuit on the internet (I think I supplied the link in the bball forum). Then there's this that came out a few days ago: Kean University announced that it has implemented a self-imposed postseason ban on its men's soccer, women's soccer and women's volleyball programs after an NCAA inquiry found a "disproportionate number of academic scholarships were awarded to scholar-athletes over the past five years,"

And now this:
http://www.nj.com/sports/njsports/index.ssf/2011/09/ncaa_allegations_against_kean.html#incart_mce

Not to mention the fact that Kean is in deep do-do and in danger of losing their Middle States Commission on Higher Education accreditation.

There are many issues at Kean right now. Post season bans on three athletic programs and the NCAA hasn't even announced what they're going to do to the woman's basketball program yet.

To bad to, she was a pretty Italian...probably couldn't make pasta fagioli though....Should have went to Montclair State and would have been a match made in heaven... LOL

dlippiel

What is the deal with MSU fellas? To dlip, their game results this year have thrown dlip off and really seem to illustrate that this team struggles (as much as a 4-0 team's O can struggle) with it's offensive consistency. Obviously, we will learn a lot from this weekend's result against Cortland, but dlip would love to hear some MSU fans touch upon some strengths and weaknesses of the team.

The "D" is AWSOME. A great running back in Chris, Talent in Fisher as a QB, good receivers and the "O" plays to their opponents. >:( Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. All the "O" plays are called by O'Conner and that scares me. We need to get agressive on "O". You think dlip is thrown off, welcome to my world. ::) I still love my Red Hawks.
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Darius Rucker's wife is a Montclair St grad.  Saw him last year in Montclair doing his new country stuff.  He explained why he had a soft spot for NJ.
