What is the deal with MSU fellas? To dlip, their game results this year have thrown dlip off and really seem to illustrate that this team struggles (as much as a 4-0 team's O can struggle) with it's offensive consistency. Obviously, we will learn a lot from this weekend's result against Cortland, but dlip would love to hear some MSU fans touch upon some strengths and weaknesses of the team.

The "D" is AWSOME. A great running back in Chris, Talent in Fisher as a QB, good receivers and the "O" plays to their opponents. >:( Sometimes it works and sometimes it does not. All the "O" plays are called by O'Conner and that scares me. We need to get agressive on "O". You think dlip is thrown off, welcome to my world. ::) I still love my Red Hawks.
What scares me is the same thing, you can't always run off tackle and not to get stopped,  a 1st year defensive coach can defend against that in a New York City minute.! I wonder how much input the other offensive coaches have in play calling, probably none and that scares me even more. Always good to have another set of eyes and another opinion on play calling. I'd love to be able to run the offense for half the game :)  Not saying that O'Connor is a bad coach, he just needs to move up to the 21st century and add more to his arsenal.  Should be a very interesting game this weekend, can't wait.

To bad to, she was a pretty Italian...probably couldn't make pasta fagioli though....Should have went to Montclair State and would have been a match made in heaven... LOL

Darius Rucker's wife is a Montclair St grad.  Saw him last year in Montclair doing his new country stuff.  He explained why he had a soft spot for NJ.

His soft-spot must have been damaged if he married a girl from montclair.

Darius Rucker is awesome, it's of no surprise he found his gem at The Montclair State University...No for real, regardless of weather you like our team or not, the girls there are smoking...

Anyway....Nice little write up on former MSU All American Linebacker and defensive coordinator now hc at Kean, Coach Garrett lol....

Cannot wait till Sat!!!!

Given that Rucker graduated from South Carolina where the NJAC's 10's are 5's, his wife must be pretty special.

I loved my time at Rowan don't get me wrong, but I occasionally kick myself for not even considering the ACC or SEC.

I first ran into Rucker and Hootie and the Blowfish in 1992 traveling with my friend's band down through the Southeast.  It was before they blew up.  Cool dudes.  My friends had a Jersey, Billy Joel, Beatles, Tom Petty sound and grunge pretty much dried up all record company interest.  They still play around Jersey, mostly covers now, but they still produce new music from time-to-time.

this board needs to wake up, should I start talking Shi@#$t about how dirty I think Cortland is and what little respect I have for their coaching staff??

I'm not sure how you really feel. ;) Can't wait for Saturday. I'm bringing my boss to the game. She makes the best Pasta Fajoli. Not bad for a Jersey Girl. :) We need to get the "O" rolling and keep our foot on their throat. No letting up everrrrrrrrr. 110-60 and "Keep Pounding".

Going to my first game of the year Rowan @ WPU.  Won't be on the field taking pics for the first time in a long time.  Going to buy a ticket and will be watching from the stands. I'm actually looking forward to seeing a game like a regular fan.

Did the same thing for years but at the high school level.  This is my first year of not taking pictures and totalling loving watching games with both eyes instead of through a viewfinder or staring at a screen.  Enjoy.

It started feeling like a burden the past two years.  I envisioned Rowan students who were interested in website design, sports journalism and/or photography wanting to be involved.  A good resume builder.  The ones that expressed interest wanted to be paid  :o

Now with out of the box software, even DIII sports depts can have a professional site with video. Plus, my photography equipment is out-of-date.

One day I might be back when I have more time, and better equipment.  Once Ric from mtuinionfootball packed it in, I could see rowanfootball.com coming to an end too.

At one time, it may have been a benefit to the football program.  Now the official site is better, and has more resources (student photographers and videographers with better equipment).

At least the school won't be harassing me anymore. Last year, I was even hassled over the use of logos.  So I made my own.  As a man in my early 40's, getting treated like child was getting really old.  Nine years is more than enough abuse.

I'm surprised that there is no chatter on the Montclair / Cortland game. I believe that this is a must game for both teams. Cortland has more to lose witth a loss, a Montclair loss would not be good either, but not deadly. It's time to kick ass and take numbers for the Red Hawks, be assuured that Cortland will come out hitting hard and psyched and we need to put a stop to it for 110-60 and "Keep Pounding." Everyone stay healthy.

A big game for both no doubt.  Should be a good one for sure.  Cortland will be well prepared and is always ready to go at it for 4 full quarters.  If MSU does the same, should be a great game. Good luck to both teams and hopefully everyone at the game will be rooting for Buff State!

I cannot wait till tomorrow, any alums who are reading this...Some of the fellas are going to get some breakfast at 6 brothers around 10 before going to the "house that Sam built"

This is going to be a heaveyweight match which will be won in the fourth quarter and I belive in my MSU Family...D'Andria, Iachetta, Skinner, Fisher, Keegen, Lewin, Avento,...the list goes on, these boys know how to win, tough as nails and have one of the best coaching staffs in the Country
