32 teams go to the playoffs, the NJAC has one automatic bid and depending on the year, a 1-loss runner-up has a shot as well. It's very very difficult to get three teams from a league in, and Rowan didn't get an at-large bid last year in that situation.

I should have known to go to the GURU. I knew, from last year, that you were the basketball source...now I know you are the D3 sports source!! Thanks Pat! ;)

Yep, I run the football site, too. :)

Yep...what he said!  Believe me, I don't have any grand illusions that Cortland could actually go with 2 losses but one could always hope.

Since SUNYAC doesn't have football, Cortland's standing in the NJAC prevails and Pat has described the typical scenario.  Because Cortland is in SUNYAC for just about everything else, there are some SUNYAC academic awards that will recognize football players.  I believe that Dan Pitcher received SUNY Chancellors award for student athlete in football last year.  All league honors and such are NJAC, ECAC and NCAA though.

This game is huge, TCNJ is no walk in the park. Another game under Cathy's belt. I feel like we are coming together as a team. This is very important. I feel something good about the Red Hawks this year. Just keep getting better and take care of business. 110-60 and "Keep Pounding"
It ain't over till it's over, and when you get to the fork in the road, take it.

Thanks for posting the link to the story MSU. It was great and you are so right. The friendships I made playing ball many years ago stand strong today. When we get together, I know it will sound crazy but we are still a team. We enjoyed the successes and sufferred pains as well. I don't have a biological brother but that team that stands today are brothers to me. Its what makes the game so special. Enjoy the games this week.

Gonna be a good one today, in my opinion, Cathey is going to have a banner day. I stated after the Cortland game that this kid has skills and I think today it will show. This is a must win for us, Oline is gonna protect him like a Red hawk protects her young, and he is gonna fly.

pg04

If it wasn't apparent before, It really is now.  It's West Conn way at the bottom of the league, with a large gap until the next worst team... 50-14 Brockport leading WCU still in the 3rd quarter...

NJAC Scores so far (I'll Keep updating this post unless bumped):

UPSET ALERT: #9 Montclair 7 TCNJ 20 HALFTIME (The live stats seemed to have broken on this)
Buff State 23  Rowan 28  4th

Cortland cruises and beats Willy P 35-7
Brockport rolls to a 56-14 victory over Western Connecticut
Kean defeats Morrisville 26-13

XREDDRAGON77

Kean still has to play Rowan and Montclair St.!  Rowan and Montclair still looms over the horizon.     Montclair could end up as a 2 loss team, as could Kean.  The NJAC race is far from over!

Rowan may end up being the champ if they win out!
Taste It!

pg04

I have no idea what is happening between Montclair and TCNJ because the live stats broke.

Interesting:
Buff State 29  Rowan 28  4th 6 mins left

pg04

Strike that, I finally got it, Montclair leads now at the beginning of the 4th quarter 21-20

64 yard touchdown pass for Rowan puts them up 34-29 with about 5 minutes left
